I made a dwarf with heavy armor equipped but with less than 13 Strength score normally required to wear the stronger armor without reducing their speed by 10 feet. However, dwarves specifically say in their Speed racial trait heavy armor does not reduce their speed. I tested out several things, like Encumbrance types to see if weight or carrying capacity was the issue, but nothing changed besides when I raised my Strength score to work like other races for heavy armor.
I also noticed that the racial traits for dwarves listed didn't include speed (which isn't normally included), which is clearly special compared to most other races. Perhaps it simply isn't applied at all?
I have the same issue. As a work around you can click on your walking speed and near the top is "customize" you can set it to 25 and then make a note about dwarves always being 25.
I did eventually notice that, but I wish it was automatic like all the other racials implemented. I feel like it was just forgotten about. It definitely feels hidden, given the uniquely dwarven trait has no name beyond "Speed"
The old Character Sheet wasn’t able to track certain things, the armor speed reduction was one of them. Before two weeks ago it was a non issue because the thing it was supposed to undo never actually got done before in the first place.
The new one can track the speed reduction to armor, so now it matters. there are some other racial things the old one couldn’t do too, like Spells of the Mark. Now that the new sheet is up and running all those things can start to get fixed.
What I said was that the old one never reduced speed for any character who wore heavy armor the way it was supposed to. On the old sheet you could have a Str of 3 and Heavy Plate and it didn’t change your speed at all.
Now, the new sheet can track that the speed is supposed to be reduced that way. Now the issue is that the Dwarves who are not supposed to be affected need to have their benefit get tracked, but they haven’t adjusted the programming yet.
Now that the new character sheet can track everything it is all getting priority ASAP. Problem is that there are so many little things like this that it all adds up. We just need to be a little patient is all.

What do I need to do to correct this?

Darn, that gave my hopes up. Thank you for the info though. Hopefully this gets a bit of priority, given dwarves are one of the free basic races.
