Update to anyone who might be curious: my issue has been resolved, and I have the MOoT bonus content now. :)
Pax,
I went back and read through your posts. So you bought the Legendary Bundle but did not get the character sheet extras for MOOT. Then you opened a ticket and they granted them to you? Is that correct?
The add is still up and says you get the 6 sheet backdrops, 20 portrait frames, and 5 color themes with book purchase. I got a legendary bundle last week witch included MOOT but I don't see any of these items either. Should I have got them?
I would highly recommend reaching out to our support team to get more information regarding those pre-order bonuses. You can do so here: http://support.dndbeyond.com/
Apparently this is untrue - unless me explaining this to the support person "helping" me gets me the bonuses as well. But according to him we are not supposed to have the bonuses if we purchased via a bundle.
Hollow, tell them to look at ticket #945343 ... that was me. I bought the Sourcebook Bundle .... and I did get the extras. Support had to go in and manually correct that, but I did get them in the end.
Besides which, it absolutely makes ZERO sense to deny those extras to people who buy MOoT in a bundle (which costs hundreds of dollars) rather than just the one, single book (which costs thirty dollars). They can't even say "but you paid less", because anyone who bought the bundle two years ago would also pay less (due to that "forever after discount" part of buying a bundle in the first place).

They tried to deny me as well. I told them basically the same thing. If the offer is going why should it matter if I get a bundle or a single book. I got the book during the offer. I included a screenshot of the ad which says nowhere that you have to purchase the book as a stand alone item. And to your point Pax, I preordered rime with my Legendary bundle discount and got the extras for that. So ya. It really makes no sense.
I had replied to the support person prior to seeing your message Pax, but when they reply and inevitably deny me again I will mention all that. It's been over 24 hours since I sent my last comment where I basically laid out how the add doesn't say you have to purchase individually, nor does the market page say it either, and that the bundle is in fact purchasing the book ergo we get the perks. The support person kept explaining to me how this is not normal since "the book is not part of the bundle when it is in pre-order mode" and when it is in the bundle the "pre-order" bonus is over. I had to remind him that it isn't the customers fault that Dnd Beyond extent the bonus so now there is the ability to buy the book as part of the bundle.
It's really bad for a company as well that your ability to get issues resolved is based on the support agent you get to help you. Frankly a precedent has been set as we can see in this thread and we should all be getting these bonuses for buying the book prior to 7/20. That the deal we were promised.
I didn't really care about the bonuses till I saw people could get them via the bundle (as per this thread) and now I'm fighting out of principal.

Same here. I included screen shots of the ad with the relevant areas highlighted. They did acknowledge that they extended the offer which is not normal and they would "pass my feedback on". But really I don't think they have a leg to stand on here since A) the offer is still going. B) Had we already had a legendary bundle prior to the books launch and preordered it with our bundle discount we would still get it hence the price isn't a factor. C) I can confirm having a bundle and purchasing a preorder does get you bonus stuff since I did it with Rime this week and got all those extras. D) Pax has already received his.
I requested that they not only fulfill my request but do it for anyone that has purchased a legendary or source bundle since the book went live.
I’m just going to say that when it got announced that MOoT was going to be delayed physically, I thought about getting it on D&D Beyond so I wouldn’t have to wait for it, but decided not to. Then I heard about the preorder bonus and decided that I would take the leap of faith and get it. This was my first purchase on D&D Beyond, and while it was worth it, recent events tied to the preorder bonuses that made it worth it for me to take said leap of faith have put a bad taste in my mouth.
The first is the Mythic Dice set. It’s so clear that these were a tie-in, and from the poll I’ve made on the subject, the general consensus among the (admittedly small) poll group is that they really should have been a preorder bonuses, especially considering that Rime (and presumably later releases) will now get their themed dice as add-ons. But hey, if it was only one or two dollars then I guess it wouldn’t really matter.
...
They’re fifteen dollars.
That’s half the price of the book.
For a cosmetic that nobody else can even see.
People who preordered don’t even get a discount, and now their one consolation prize is being given away to people who bought the book now, more than a month after release.
It just leaves a bad taste in the mouth is all. I don’t regret making the dive into this service or purchasing this book, but it sure does feel bad.
Limted-time exclusives are what leave a bad taste in my mouth, especially for digital products. I somewhat understand them for physical sales, when it affects inventory. There is no reason to limit “bonuses” to preorders for digital sales. Its makes it seem like a punishment for not preordering.
All of my dice purchases are options for my group. so all of my group is using my MooT dice. i am technically fine with it as they get to see my cool dice, but I think i would prefer to see my Moot dice rolled when i roll ...on their screen, and their ROYGBIV dice rolled when they roll.

Well if you say you’re going to use a system, at least stick with that system, you know?
I always saw the bonuses as more of a thing to reward people for deciding to make the jump into buying content before they know if it’s good or not and to tide people over before release. If they had just not used a bonus system, that would be fine. But if you are going to use that system and then change it, don’t decide that the people who did take a chance and preorder your product are the ones that deserve the short end of the (admittedly still very long) stick...
...and then also want them to pay $14.99 for something they probably should have gotten for free or for much less.
I strongly suspect that the promotion period was extended because sales were not as good as expected / hoped-for. :(
This is not a good reason to punish customers who took a chance on your product.
Punishing customers who took a chance on your product is actually one of the last things you’d want to do if that product was not selling well.
Really what it comes down to is that the promotion is on going and it should not matter if you buy the product as part of the bundle or individually. There is no difference in price if you are already a bundle owner and purchase it. Normally the promotion ends when the product comes out of pre order and is released so its not part of the bundle. They changed that and didn't think to include the extras in the bundle. It sounds more like a mistake they made on their end. They should fix it.
I would agree with Tail_Wah that having digital rewards only for preorder is kind of lame. Again they make the same amount of money either way but that is besides the point. The offer is going on, if you buy the product through any method while the offer is going on you should get the rewards.

If you honestly think that other people being able to still obtain something you already have, is somehow punishing you ... then, Sir or Madame, I suggest the problem lays with you, and not DNDBeyond.

... the promotion in question is still ongoing, so it is still the appropriate time period. :)

I have a feeling that the billing dept is not there to help the consumer, but to help the company. Much like HR.
Of course.
But, the Legal department would probably like Marketing to stop writing checks that they don't plan to cover. :)

Is there a plan to eventually add the supernatural gifts to the character creator?
Yes. They’re working on it.

Yes. see IAmSposta’s link.
Evidently they needed new code for them. I use homebrew feats for them at the moment.
