Changing the Triton race as an errata has led to issues with characters in Adventurers League, this sourcebook is NOT AL legal and as such the change to the race is not allowed in play. I am sure you will hear from WOTC regarding this, it shouldn't have been an errata, it should have been left as a separate race.
When creating and updating for MOoT, we reached out directly reached out to WotC staff for clarity. The changes seen here fully represent WotC design decisions.
The Changes to the Triton are considered official Errata, and have been applied as per those guidelines.
Heh, well, I guess they forgot to communicate that to the AL Admins. They're reaching out to WOTC to get some clarification, it seems. This breaks precedent with other updates in non-FR books.
Given Orcs of Eberron, etc. I think it is the other way, the AL admins are the ones breaking precedent. Admittedly this exact circumstance had yet to occur yet.

How so? The Eberron version of Orcs can only be run in the Ebberon Campaign, not the FR campaign.
This might not be a DDB issue but there is a typo or grammatical error in Chapter 1 just before the Gods and Devotion section. It says:
Notably, though, these gods have influence only over Theros and the two planes connected to it: Nyx, the starry realm of the gods, and the Underworld, eventual home of all die.
I think it intended to say "...eventual home of all who die."
Now I'm picturing anthropomorphic dice running around the Underworld...
What’s the chance of the character options like Supernatural Gifts getting pulled out of the compendium content so I can buy it separate like basically every other character option?

Probably not until they figure out how to program that feature. Currently it’s in the same state as Spells of the Mark.
Hey, just here to report a minor bug. When I'm scrolling through my book, the sidebar that tracks where I am on the page isn't working properly. For example, I'm currently in the Monster section of the book, looking at the stat block for Typhons, and the sidebar says that I'm in the Hythonia's Lair section of the chapter.
I have observed this in every chapter of the book so far, it shows that I am further down in this sidebar than I actually am in the chapter, and normally by quite a lot.
Just wanted to let you know and see if this could be fixed. (Just a bit OCD)
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
Is there any distance key available for the Theros map? It's impossible to set this up in a VTT without knowing how far any given point is from another point.

I've noticed this happens in a lot of the sources (or did) and just assumed it was a browser issue and never thought to actually tell DnDBeyond about it! D'oh!

I've observed this in (almost) every chapter of (almost) every book. It bothers me too, haha.
Is there any distance key available for the Theros map? It's impossible to set this up in a VTT without knowing how far any given point is from another point.
I've just checked and we do have this information - I'm going to go grab the source files and update our map images for the main map now - it'll likely take a bit of time to do that and a bit more for caching to catch up, but will be sorted today. 😊
BUG: If you go to Game Rules > Races, for not only are Minotaur, Centaur and Triton not listed as races for Theros, but worse, Minotaur and Centaur are listed as Ravnica races, and have full Ravnica setting/background information, which is totally inappropriate and inaccurate for Theros. They have no Theros information at all, and no way to switch to the Theros information.
I strongly suggest that the Beyond team at least temporarily implement at Minotaur (Theros), Centaur (Theros) and so on race. Don't make us homebrew stuff we've already paid for. It's a really good way to discourage us from buying future products. Especially as we can't even share it! If just one person had to do it, and could share it, this would be mildly annoying. As every single subscriber who wants to fix this has to do it themselves, manually, this is ridiculous.
EDIT - It seems like literally the only way to see the correct lore for Minotaurs or Centaurs is to go directly into the Theros book in Sources. This is ridiculous. The Minotaur and Centaur entries specifically call them out as being from Ravnica, despite me not owning the Ravnica book (not does anyone I share content with). How do you guys consider this okay? It's confusing to players and quite unhelpful.
A) The Beyond team has made no effort whatsoever so far to implement Supernatural Gifts, instead of say, creating some Feats which replicate them, and enabling them for people who purchase Theros?
and
B) That the Beyond team has actively gone out of their way to prevent players themselves from sharing Feats which replicate the Supernatural Gifts?
This seems like adding insult to injury. I mean, it's one thing to not support them. It's quite another thing to actively prevent fans from supporting them. The situation you guys have created is that literally every single DM needs to know how to use homebrew system, in quite complicated ways, in order to use content from an official book that they've purchased, when you had two possible different, viable solutions to avoid that, one of which required no effort on your part. That is pretty awful, frankly, if I understand correctly. Especially given that the homebrew system is sufficiently poorly documented that I don't think I could even replicate all of them without significant research (i.e. by creating copies of lots of other subclasses, abilities and so on). Thus instead of your team spending a tiny amount of time to create Feats to replicate these, or a handful of people around the world doing the same, we're looking at potentially thousands of people needing to do the exact same wasteful work?
If my understanding is incorrect here, please enlighten me.

The Minotaur & Centaur races in Ravnica and Theros settings are functionally identical in terms of features, which is why there isn't a new version of each race created.
Do we need some sort of system that displays the information from all of the different settings for each race? That would be great and is something that I personally want to get done - it's something that has been discussed internally for sure, but we need a way to do that without making things more confusing.

A) The weekly Dev Update stream has discussed in some depth the issue we have faced with needing to rebuild the characters framework. It's taken most of our developers and has taken most of the last year. This isn't something that we wanted to do - it's something that is necessary. We have 30 million characters on D&D Beyond now and this was necessary so that the site could keep functioning. We wish that we were able to spend that time developing features, like Supernatural Gifts, Boons & Blessings, Spells of the Mark, an additional Abiolity Score (Piety) system, Class Variants system etc. These are all things that we absolutely want to get done and we are moving onto now.
B) We cannot allow users to publish licensed content. I know that's annoying for these situations, but it's just not something that can be allowed to happen.
We looked at the possibility of creating all of the Supernatural Gifts as feats in our system and the problem was it would still require some form of development work on the systems, so we could identify them as "not feats" for when people select feats for their characters. We need a better system and we want to build a better system. It will happen.
I can only apologise for where we are and tell you that we are committed to doing better.
RESOLVED as of 6/4/2020. THANK YOU D&D Beyond support! You all are awesome!!
I no longer have access to the following races in the D&D Beyond character builder: Minotaur, Centaur, Leonin and Satyr.
I own all the appropriate digital source books and enabled the Magic the Gathering content in character building--but to no avail. I even did a manual restart of my laptop. Nothing has restored the content.

Thanks for the clear explanation of Feat versions of Supernatural Gifts. I don't think you made the right decision, but I can see the reasoning.
However, with races your reasoning is contradictory to your own approach. Right now, Orcs of Exandria and Orcs of Eberron, are, as far as I know, mechanically identical. If they're not mechanically identical, the differences are certainly trivial. Their lore is entirely different, and different to that of normal Orcs, however, and you have separate entries for "Orc of Exandria" and "Orc of Eberron", in the appropriate places, with the appropriate lore.
You can and should do the same for Theros. Centaur of Theros, Minotaur of Theros, and Triton of Theros should all be entries (Tritons are less vital as their lore is less specific), and all under Theros. That the mechanics are the same is immaterial, because the lore is extremely setting-specific here. It'd be one with if the original Centaur and Minotaur had vague, setting-less lore. That'd be fine. But they don't. They have hyper-specific Ravnica lore. Ravnica is a very weird and unusual setting, and a player starting a game in Theros is going to click on Centaur, and go "What?!" at best. Some less experienced players will think that lore is correct, and create PCs based on it (I've literally seen this kind of thing happen, long story though).
That's the approach you took with Orc of Exandria and Orc of Eberron. That's the approach you should take here. It's certainly technically possible for you. Hell, it's technically possible for me, except I can't make it look as nice or work as well, and I can't share my effort, so that is clearly not a barrier!

A subscription does not unlock content. To unlock the content the product must be purchased. Subscriptions offer different benefits, unlocking content is not one of those benefits.
