Monks have no way of expressing using unarmed attacks on the online character sheet. All characters should either default to unarmed attacks if no weapons are equipped or there should be unarmed weapons in the equipment manager.
There are no prices listed for equipment, along with weight. Having these on the drop down view would be ideal. Having it on the full details page only would be better than nothing.
Edited to add a new thing: I noticed during character creation that Leather armor has a type of "Leather", where as Leather +1,+2, and +3 have a type of "Light Armor". The same is true for Studded Leather and probably the other types of armor. Is it possible to have the type for all of these (regardless of whether they're mundane or magic) listed as "Light Armor" or whatever the armor type happens to be? I believe it would make clarify that "Leather" is armor and not a type of material.
Are there any plans to add Blessings, Charms, and/or Epic Boons to the Items list (or somewhere else)? I'd like to search for them in the compendium, add them to characters in the builder, and create homebrew versions. My homebrew campaign uses Blessings extensively.
I'd suggest relabelling the button maybe? I'm not sure what the best name to pick would be, but right now it implies if you click the button you will see additional details. Maybe "View Item Page". Something that implies you will be taken to a page that shows the same info, but that can be linked to directly connect to that item's information instead of all of the items.
Weird bug: Dont think this has been posted yet other than an old comment from megamocni about fuzzy searches. When I'm on the character sheet and I use the equipment manager, add equipment and search for bow, I dont find either shortbows or longbows, but I do find 2 unrelated items - boots and something else.
I can search for short or long and the bows show up.
Edit: ah, not so weird, it's because search forces the start of the search word to match the start of a word in the item. ie you need to search for cross to find crossbow, but if there was a hot crossed buns item, that would also show up on a cross search (or bun); but crossbow doesnt show on bow search.
inside the modifiers of an item, a "required attunement column apperas but: a) can't be set when adding (or editing) that modifier (it should be a generic item concept but some powers can be unlocked only by attunement) b) it appera always as "False" not a check or "Yes" or "No"
When i try to set a spell i cannot set an homebrew spell, neither one of mine.
on the list of the homebrew i found what the black triangle on the name was only by reading the page html, seeing "i-req-attunement" and i deducted what it was...
when i click on a vew detail item, the notes inserted by the player are on the same row and style of the other ones that were generated by the site like "Bonus: Magic". If there's something important, people will ignore it because of the bloated automatic info they see on every other item. Maybe you could split it into another paragraph, maybe with a differente background-color
Hey, something seems to be in conflict with the Player's Handbook regarding Barding. On your site, it lists the AC for Barding as the normal stat of the armor, plus Dex (max 2), plus 1. In the PHB though, there isn't that +1. I am wondering where that came from, as there's nothing about it having a bonus other than what the armor already provides in the section about Barding.
I think it would be nice if homebrew tags weren't included in the standard magic item listing. A lot look unprofessional (no capital first letter), and even the ones that don't are deceptive since nothing actually has that specific tag.
The restriction to free content means it has to be the version in the SRD.
After launch, anyone with access to DMG content will see the DMG version of the item (either replacing or in addition to the SRD version).
Not a high priority but that shouldn't be a design approach that is followed once this goes live. I can understand the inconsistency between written books published at different times but this is an electronic version and should be consistent across all materials regardless of access level.

The SRD and the DMG both have differing opinions of what it is. Because we have to reproduce everything as is, you'll find that here as well. Like it was stated before, you will see the corrected version when you can see the DMG entries.
Right, but the developer of the game stated the clarification. I see this more as a D&D problem, not an issue with the site you guys are running. They need to weigh in and give direction to D&D Beyond for what should be used in the electronic version so that there aren't inconsistencies.

Sadly, there's literally nothing we can do about this.
If I am creating a new character and pulling items from the equipment list, even a lvl 1 character build with basic stuff, I find it time consuming to be down selecting "Flail" and then after the selection I An scrolling down from the A list all over again. If I was not teleported back to the very start of the list after selecting an item I think it would save a lot of time and frustration. If I am in the "F" section, return me there after my selection.
You can edit any homebrew you create, as many times as you like.
The exception to this is when you publish a homebrew element (monster/item/spell).
When you publish it, it essentially freezes it where it is, because you're now pushing it out publically and other people can add it to their campaigns and use it. At this point, it is vital for us that the item can't be changed, as that could result in someone using the homebrew and then suddenly finding it had changed from what they wanted (this means even to correct typos).
This is why you need to create a new version, if you have published the element.
The good news is, you don't have to publish an element if you only want to use it for yourself or in campaigns you are running.
Publishing is to make it available for everyone with a subscription.

Technically, the 7 damage listed in the DMG is actually the average roll for 2d6. So the SRD is not totally incorrect per say.

It would be nice to have the cost of items in the description. Things like potions, and general items. Would speed things up a lot. Thank you!
Equipment List:
It is frustrating to click on the "View Details Page" button to have no additional "details" than that shown on the equipment summary page (https://www.dndbeyond.com/equipment) (vs https://www.dndbeyond.com/equipment/backpack).

Maybe I am missing it but i was trying to find the magic instruments of the bards in the magic item section and didnt see any of them.

The Staff of Healing item lists the 3 different abilities multiple times when added as an equipped item to a character.

A dwarf with a canoe on his back? What could go wrong?

I would love to be able to edit the item's picture, tags and etc. under advanced options without having to create a new version of the item.
