Compared to everything else, the equipment listing is pathetic. There really need to be more search options.
For example, when I was looking for a good finesse weapon, I had to type in, "Combat, Damage", and look through all the nonmagical melee weapons; all the nonmagical ranged weapons; all the nonmagical ammunition; vials of acid and basic poison; flasks of alchemist's fire, oil and holy water; bags of caltrops; potions of healing and torches!
The equipment listed is less than a week old 'compared to everything else.' They're working on it...

I think you hurt the Equipment Listing's feelings. ;)
We appreciate the feedback - updates will certainly be made to the basic equipment listing over time. The existence of the listing itself is a result of beta feedback...we had no intention to create such a listing when we started because we imagined the compendium entries for equipment would be enough.
As we have demonstrated, we are listening to community feedback to continually improve the toolset - the equipment listing will be no different.

You can also just type "finesse" in the search box. It'll return all weapons with just that property.
We're doing an experiment to decide to see how the more free-form text based searching for basic equipment performs and is accepted versus the filter for everything on the other listings.
Why not just have both? That's the way it is on magic items is it not? You can "free form" type in the tag or select it from the drop down box. In my opinion neither is better but used for different situations. Sometimes I know I want a "finesse" weapon sometime in not sure exactly what I'm looking for and would want the drop down box looking for something that catches my attention for that situation.
That was my first post. The equipment listing still doesn't have an advanced search.

While I appreciate the tenacity, this is not currently a priority for us. You, and perhaps a handful of others, have mentioned this, but compared to the hundreds of posts requesting updates or changes in other areas, we can't justify this being higher on the list.
It is, however, on the list. Quoting a post from months ago and summarizing the contents of that post won't make it any more on that list.
As with everything on the list, we'll see where we can squeeze this in, but we'll never be able to move as fast as everyone in the community wants. Development time and testing are a reality we have to deal with.

No rush. At least now I know that it is on the list.
I have a player who got a greatsword of wounding and paid to have a master smith convert into a great trident of wounding, which deals 3d4 piercing damage. However, creating such an item requires a messy in-description note as to the weapon's properties. It would be nice to have the option to make new equipment, especially new weapons to use and to have as bases for magic items.
What is the source for the boomerang as it is missing range and gold as well as never have heard of it before also the Monster Hunter's Pack is missing.
As far as I can tell, it's just a non-magical item that they had to create since all magic weapons have a base and the Storm Boomerang is a boomerang.

I concur. At the moment there only seems to be the option to create and submit magic items, but not non-magical equipment. It would be nice to be able to produce mundane gear not currently included in any of the official sources.
Long-time listener, first-time caller. Not sure if this is the right place to post. In light of the addition of the Gunslinger martial archetype (thanks BTW), it would be helpful to add the reload and misfire values to the firearms. I know I could just make a custom note on the item, but it would just be nice to see something like this:
DAMAGE
1d12+3
DAMAGE TYPE
Piercing
WEAPON TYPE
Musket (Exandria)
RARITY
--
ATTACK TYPE
Ranged
WEIGHT
10 lb
PROPERTIES
Two-Handed, Reload 1, Misfire 2
RANGE
120 ft./480 ft.
PROFICIENT
Yes
Also, I was under the impression that the palm pistol and pepperbox have the light property.
Hi, could you implement a mechanic to add a custom item the same way we can do with adding a custom attack, so we could give it properties like weight in an easy way? Instead of having to create a homebrew "magic" item previously and add it later?
Also, i'm not sure if this thread is the place for this, but is it planned to give weight to the money?
The DMG on page 140 (or in the "Magic Items" category in the compendium) states:
Unless a staff’s description says otherwise, a staff can be used as a quarterstaff.
When creating a character and including an Arcane Focus staff you cannot wield it, and it does not appear with the quarterstaff damage/die in the description. Due to this, it does not appear in the "weapons" section of the character sheet.
Can Arcane Focus/Magic Staffs as quarterstaffs be included on the character sheet options?
Go in to the gear section and add a quarterstaff. Then somewhere in your character sheet make a note that the staff and the quarterstaff are actually the same item.

I know there are workarounds, but it would be nice if they weren't needed and the item itself worked as expected and included its full elements.
One thing that would be nice is a Buy button, perhaps beside the add one.
The add works great, but does not subtract the currency from your character, a buy button with a text box containing the default price already pre-filled but overridable would do wonders when we are buying stuff on towns :)
Hello, I didn't see any posts about this when I searched. Currently the price for arrows is 1gp each instead the correct price of 5cp each. So when you buy a bundle of 20 it costs 20gp instead of 1gp. That is all.
I noticed it also. In the character builder, when you add items to a character, the value isn't showed.

My bad, I thought that would be considering it’s not from any expansion. I guess DMG counts.

Oops, please disregard the light property part of the comment. I was confused between Gunslinger 1.3 and the Gunpowder Codex.

Just a quibble. When listing magic items, the format is "Wondrous item". It seems counter intuitive, but the "i" in item is lower case.
