There has been next to no development since you bought the site.
If the leaks regarding your plans to jack up the prices are true, then you’re going to loose the subscriptions of the people who held on after the OGL debacle went public.
If you didn’t want DDB to exist, you could have pulled your licensing agreement and saved yourselves the money.
I'm still totally scratching my head that WotC didn't go the way of giving 3rd party publishers a pathway to publish on DDB (for iTunes or Audible like commission rates) but instead chose to OGL 1.1 the success of 5e, I can only explain it as an issue of mind set at the top and until those heads roll WotC will be rolling 1's for the foreseeable future

Today I was reading an old article about the acquisition. Back then, they seemed hopeful. They had "no plans to stop supporting" DnDBeyond. Cynthia Williams was looking forward to having a "direct relationship with fans." Boy, that didn't last long.
My guess is that Hasbro management doesn't know the difference between a TTRPG and a video game. They probably think everyone would be okay with waiting a couple of years for the VTT and stopped all other development. They don't understand their customers and the community. Basically, Hasbro doesn't know what they're doing with DDB and are accidentally destroying it.
Rule #1 - Honestly support your employees. Rule #2 - Don't **** with customer trust.
Looks like they're ****ing up pretty bad if you ask me.
@WOTCemployees - Good luck, most of us know this isn't your fault and honestly wish you the best in the TTRPG community. I'm sure Paizo going to be hiring like mad.
@WOTCLeadership - WTAF were you thinking? You clearly didn't listen to employees and clearly didn't research effectively. Looking forward to the conference calls. xoxo
DDB could have been Steam for RPGs. I'd have paid more to have legendary tier Character sheet support for 3rd party. Instead I have canceled our subscription (for now, I believe this can change and I believe in forgiveness). Additionally, I spent some money I would have used on official D&D products for Monster of the Week on Roll20. (I'm totally stoked about MotW, btw)
I don't blame the DDB staff for this. I think staff have been cut since the acquisition and the hasbro c suite have restructured to be focused soley on monetization of all D&D assets.
From what I've seen prior to the last 2 or so weeks, most wotc and ddb people are also part of the community.

I've been saying the same thing. DnDBeyond could of been Steam for dnd stuff, they could of massively boosted their profits without any of this stupid shit. The stupidity at play here is mind boggling
There are a lot of issues WotC is going to have to deal with going forward but this is one of the big ones relating to this site. We simply haven't seen any advancement in the core functionality of dndbeyond since the acquisition. Most of us have been very patient in looking past the many rules and features that aren't supported because we were told there was a generic feature system being built that would make everything better. Now it's looking like that has gone out the window, or at least that all the work is being done on 6e support instead of giving us a working 5e sheet.

Truly, it would seem DnDBeyond was better prior to its acquisition by WotC.

Excessive greed tends to breed excessive stupidity. It doesn't help that Hasbro has ALWAYS been completely out of touch when it comes to tabletop RPGs since their acquisition of Wizards of the Coast some 20 odd years ago.
Yes.. Now it is. Since a day or so. While the tweet is THREE days old. The question is valid: Why are they posting on Twitter first rather than on the forums?

This. All this. Because a certain someone at wotc thinks that d&d is the same as not just video games, but also mobile games. This incompetent (redacted) wanted to "destroy" DDB. Then other execs bought it while his team was working on a competitor. But he hasn't changed his tactic. He wants his super monetized vtt to be the only game in town. As if we're actually going to pay for spell animations. Like get (redacted) real. This is dnd. We Describe our (redacted) spells and we do it far better than your One DnD vtt ever will. This is a game built on theatre of the mind, and basic maps on graph paper. Your pretty RGB lights have no power here, Wizard of the Coast.
DDB could have made money hand over fist and kept D&D profitable enough for hasbro not to drop. Even with all its current limitations its still a good enough service to want to use. If they opened it up to 3rd party content. Made the homebrew tools a bit more robust, and gods forbid but if they expanded into other systems character sheets? DDB could be the number 1 ttrpg asset app in the world and then some, with all its vtt Integration and nifty discord bots and all that.

I don’t blame the DDB staff either. And I know for a fact WotC laid off a bunch of DDB staff.

Apparently they did, and those surveys are just a way to redirect bothersome public anger down a hole they don't even read or care about.

Why are they only posting this on Twitter, rather than on the forums where all the discussion is taking place?
It's also a post on the DDB home page.
