Is it possible to add a reach override field in the customize window for weapons? I have a player playing a bugbear and has a racial trait long limbed that makes his melee reach 5 ft. longer than normal.
Long-Limbed
When you make a melee attack on your turn, your reach for it is 5 feet greater than normal.
Well crap double posted, apologies.
This actually should be working, but looking at the data, there is a mismatch in what I expect in the sheet. I need to confirm some stuff tomorrow with other team members, but the bugbear racial trait should be adding 5 ft to all reach displays. The way the sheet is set up currently is: baseReach + sum(bonusReachData) and then +5 if Reach weapon property exists on the item
A minor thing, but it used to show how many attacks per Action a character got in the Combat. It would be great if that could be added back in on the Attack tab, rather than having to dig through the Features tab to remember how many a character is up to.
I actually just put that back in tonight and will go out in a code deploy tomorrow. So we are bringing that back in. Preview is attached!
I like the new design. It's definitely an improvement. But I still have some feedback.
My custom wizard features are still showing up as Conjuration wizard. This is annoying.
Is this a subclass you made yourself or added from a public homebrew?
My Time Domain creation was copied from the Life Domain, and apparently inherited its snippets, which were invisible until the update went live. I had to create a new version of the subclass (now pending review) to correct this. If it's a private homebrew, you might try to edit the snippets yourself.
I started from a copy of Conjuration and it's all set up ok (pending review). But the character sheet shows Conjuration features.
Now that there's a slightly more compact layout (for tablets), would it be possible for desktop users that want to have the sidebar up permanently to take advantage of this? ie. if there's room for the new tablet layout and sidebar to fit on a desktop view, can the Fixed button appear? I have a feeling if that was the case, 12.9" iPad Pro users could take advantage of Fixed sidebar layout too.
And for those of us poor slobs on 16:10 screens, to have the sidebar push the other content to the side instead of covering it up?
The current way it works is the sidebar always stays a fixed width. In order for it to enable the "fixed" layout, you have to have a resolution of 1600px+. We will definitely keep listening to all of the community feedback and figure out ways to get the sheet fitting better in the more common displays. We wanted to get feedback on the updated functionality and layout before we fine tune the knobs.
When exporting the character sheet to PDF, I don't see the unarmed strike attack with the other weapon attacks. I'd like to see this especially for monk characters as it's not standard in those cases. It is showing up on the web version of the character sheet however.
Currently we only display the weapon attacks and cantrips in the PDF. I will talk with other team members about this suggestion and what we can do. Currently the PDF label for that section says "Weapon attacks and cantrips", so we would have to figure out how we would want to update that as well. Thanks for the feedback.

Technically, unarmed strikes ARE weapon attacks, they are just not attacks WITH a weapon - Crawford has mentioned it a few times in his tweets (for example, here)
I like how the direction the updates are going. Couple notes
-- I agree that, at least for monks, the unarmed strike really needs to show up with other weapons on the pdf export. Too fundamental to leave off. And at the moment the increased damage die doesn't appear on the pdf export at all, which is a real bummer. There's just the generic reference to the damage die under the martial arts feature. Having to flip open the book for that doesn't really make sense and it should appear automatically on the sheet..
-- I'll again suggest that having the sneak attack dice appear near the weapon attacks somewhere for the rogue (both digital and export) would really make a lot of sense. The rogue will be using sneak attack on a regular basis during combat, and that info should show up in the 'combat' section (I realize that you've removed the section with that title, but it should appear near or around weapons somehow).
Like the new sheet update. Just a note: I noticed you added a concentration list to the wizard spells, which is good, but could you also add a ritual spells list since those can me used with using spell slots and it would be handy to have a list at hand.

They are already listed under the Actions tab (the Other part), however it would be very helpful if the Ritual spells were also listed (similar to concentration spells) under the Spell Tab.

OK my Bard has the Concentration tab for spells, but not my Druid or Paladin. Any idea why? Also, not sure why you need a tab for Concentration spells? It could just be a search filter... if it’s needed at all? In game, you’re more likely to want to narrow down spells that AREN’T Concentration because you’re already maintaining one. Am I missing something?
Edit: agree a Ritual spells tab would be useful though
Does your druid or paladin currently have any concentration spells "prepared"?
Also, I noticed there is a Ritual spell list column... if you have the ritual casting ability. If your class or character doesn't have ritual casting (or any ritual spells "learned"/in spellbook), it doesn't show up. I think that's a feature, not a bug.
Edit/update July 13: seems this feature isn't yet fine-tuned as some classes that don't get ritual casting get a ritual tab and others that do get it don't get the tab...
Simply for ease of use (since many items are bought or sold at some point), it seems that the biggest hassle when selling loot or buying new items is adding/removing the item and then having to manage the cost manually in a separate interaction. In the 'Manage Equipment' area, it would be a small step forward if there were 'Buy' or 'Sell' buttons for items in the 'Add Items' drop-down and your inventory, respectively. Something that would add or remove the item from your equipment, while also bringing up a dialogue box nearly identical to the currency screen where you can enter the total cost spent or received.
Super not-expertly mocked up:
It's just a very little thing, not at all that pressing or anything... But something I realized after a few little shopping bits.
This kind of thing has been mentioned before, but I love how simple you’ve made it. Be great if the dialogue box field could prepopulate with standard price too (to give a starting point).
This is a simple solution, but I have a less-than-simple example of why we need a little more (though, this would work as a "for starters"). Haggling. I would want the ability to alter the price. Honestly, in my mind, this is more of a party inventory management and/or campaign management thing. The DM should be able to set the price in some kind of dialogue between them and the player(s). Digital storefront kind of stuff or something. However, as stated, this would be a smaller and easier fix in the meantime.
I checked both my Bard and my Wizard and while on the Bard sheet there is a ritual tab (she only has 1 ritual spell), on the wizard sheet there is no Ritual tab (and he has 3 ritual spells)

Like a "Situational Damage" section under the attacks section, kind of like there's a section for situational saving throws under the Saving Throws section.

Yes, there is definitely something off. Our single class paladin has a ritual tab for some prepared spells, as well as our Eldritch Knight fighter, and they can't cast ritual spells. (Unless I'm mistaken)
I thought ritual tabs only appeared when character is able to cast ritual spells (the way I think it should be, to avoid confusing players...) Seems to be the case for our sorcerers, who have prepared "ritual" spells but don't get the ritual tab.
Hi, I really love the new update. Now I get the dektop view on my ipad!
Also the combination of tabs is very much appreciated. The top of the sheet is better, too. AC right there and ini and proficiency bonus, very good.
Some additional Feedback though.
There should be checkboxes under actions, bonus actions, reactions and other. Some are there, but not all. I am playing a bloodhunter and under bonus action I get bloddcurses and rite damage, both have limited uses but the checkboxes to mark them off are only under traits and features. They're not under limited use either.
Sorry, rite damage is not limited, I mixed it up, but bloodcurses are.
I played a game today with the new new sheet and some more feedback.
I would also like to have a better view of available spell slot. Either back on the level tab label or some other place but scrolling down to know is annoying.
Better way to add or subtract monies. It's also annoying to have to switch tab, open the sidebar and then manually move things.
Something akin to how health is handled would be great.
I really think there should be more variety or more customisation for the notes section.

How to add Tooltips
I wanted to add in a custom attack for the polearm mastery off-hand attack, but ran into two minor issues:
1. You can't specify it has reach (already mentioned above)
2. You can only specify unarmed or natural for the type, not weapon.

The update to the right pane is great !!! Thanks a lot. Just a few issues I'm seeing still:
Warlock's Invocation "Improved Pact Weapons" +1 to Hit and Damage is not applied to Pact weapons.
Also, similar to the filters for Spells, it would be great to have that for Equipment to list only weapons, armors, etc.
In the info pane there are some bugs showing shortcode:
Thanks for the great work. Loving the new sheet !
Click the filter icon to the right of the Search bar :)
