This is the modification that would make the biggest difference to how I use the sheet. It may be that this has been suggested before, I've only skimmed the thread thus far.
First off, I really appreciate the feedback given in this thread. It's great to get confirmation that the new format is working so well for many of you, and it's great to be able to get feedback on challenges or frustrations from the broader community. Thanks!
I'll share a few things that are on our minds after sifting through everything. Keep in mind these are thoughts and intent at this point - not final decisions or executions.
On desktop, we're going to see about displaying a single box to the right (instead of two) to give the content a little more room to breathe.
We're going to see about getting AC and Initiative to display more prominently (and not just in the Combat section).
On that note, the Combat section is probably going away (in favor of a combined Actions section since AC and Initiative won't be there anyway).
With more room in the bigger content area, we'll display a full spell/ equipment list, with filters to shrink that list as needed.
We will try to resize the desktop view to be able to fit it into the smaller iPad Pro 10.5 in landscape.
On mobile, we're going to look into a way to bring back swiping between sections. The floating nav button will remain for quick jumping between the sections if desired.
Those are a few of the things I'm comfortable to talk about this early - we'll definitely keep an eye on all the feedback to make improvements.
Thanks again!
Re first point: I actually like having two boxes, personally I would rather be able to put anything from either box in either space. Might it be possible to get the option to have a single box but also split it so I could have spells and combat/actions up at the same time (the tabs I use most commonly) to save swapping backwards and forwards all the time?
Re last point: Personally having used it a bit on my phone I am way happier with jumping to sections on my phone using the nav button instead of swiping. I could never remember what the next or previous screen would be when swiping.
For me the immediate thing I noticed was that the "pop out" side bar is fixed to the top of the "website" rather than the top of the view.
So if i'm on a smaller screen (macbook for example) and are scrolling down the page, click on something for expanded information, then the actual "information" in the pop-out sidebar is off the screen way at the top of the page, and I have to scroll up and back down again.
I would make this bar fixed at the top of the "view" and move with scrolling, so it's always in sight.
This is the modification that would make the biggest difference to how I use the sheet. It may be that this has been suggested before, I've only skimmed the thread thus far.
I’d also like this, it’s actually what I meant with my ‘Don’t overthink this!’ comment that has been quoted in the release notes.
I’m loving the new sheet and like the sound of the recent tweaks that Adam has mentioned too. Keep up the great work!
So I used the sheet again during a 6 hour session and the more it's used, the better some things are. My complaints from the previous posts still remain though, it's still too small and certain things are just uncomfortable to use and look up.
Is there any ETA or word on resizing the window on desktop not resulting in moving to the mobile version? Especially if you're going to be adding in swiping?
Also, how was the previous iteration of Sorcery Points ill received? It was a simple X/X with a button to reduce or add.... Same as it is now just was under the Resources tab that was in line with your Spell list....
I found out that the Notes section is not longer publicly viewable when I tried to share my 5000 odd words of notes with a discord server. Is it possible to make section privacy a toggle option (with the default for notes to private)? My character is so open about things that it seems weird not being able to share the notes I've written for her.
When you say that 70% of the character sheet use was desktop, so that was your design priority, have you considered the difference between use and play?
All my group tinker, create, toy, change and checked stats between sessions on computers. It's easier, more powerful and with all a computers tools available when doing this. however, when at the game table, we're all using this on phones and tablets with the mobile view. Considering therefore our use over the whole of DnDB, we probably sit at about 70% desktop use, but you've not severely limited and detrimentally impacted our playing experience on mobile.
So much so, after spending all the money on books and subscriptions, we are considering using free apps available elsewhere.
I think to also say that 70% is enough to only improve the experience for that segment is very naive. If you lose 30% of your revenue and income, you are not going to just go "oh well, it was less than 50%, could have been worse". But that is the attitude you're taking to your mobile users and the messaging you are putting up on this forum

Adam has said in several places that the data they have is very comprehensive and broken down in multiple ways. In essence, yes, they know when you're playing or just tinkering.

Wow, 27 pages already! I did a quick-and-dirty search on the thread and didn't see this, so my apologies if my search criteria were insufficient:
For spellcasters it would be cool to have a listing of the ritual spells available in the same place we see our prepared spells. It could be a section right before cantrips (i.e. "- R - | - 0 - | 1st, etc.). On desktop and my chromebook it isn't so bad to just pull out the sidebar, but on my smaller tablet it would be far more convenient to see it as part of the at-a-glance information. This would be a minor, but useful, QoL improvement on desktop view as well, I think. This way we only ever have to dig into the full spell list to change prepared spells or add new ones. As a wizard who plans on nabbing as many ritual spells as I can along the way, this would a major QoL improvement for me, individually, lol.
Edit: Apparently this has been mentioned. The "search this thread" for the word "ritual" didn't even return the first post, which has the word ritual in it. Oh well, +1 all around, I suppose.
First of all: Great Sheet! Thanks for the stunnig good work!
Question: Could you please open weight in "Description" for free filling - like hight? That would be easier for many players from Europe. Then we could specify the weight in kilograms, like we can specify the hight in meters.
Had a chance to use it Saturday, really liked it. Is there any hope of having Hit Points added to the combat page? It was a bit of a pain to go back and forth.

I guess the real challenge here is that ritual spells have three 'approach':
From book:
Wizards can cast any Ritual spell as ritual, as long as it's in their spellbooks
Tome pact Warlocks with the Book of Ancient Secrets invocation can cast Ritual spells from their book, or learned spell list
Characters with the Ritual Caster feat can cast Ritual spells from their books
From prepared list:
Clerics and Druids can cast Ritual spells as long as they have prepared them
Bards can cast Ritual spells as long as they know them
The other classes can't cast spells as ritual.
The first case would really benefit from the list, because it should contain spells that's not prepared / active for them; the second case is a mild improvement - basically just a filter on the active list; and the other 7 classes would be unaffected. Then comes the complication for multiclassing... I kinda understand if this is a lower priority issue.

For a druid "Wild Shape" is displayed as an action.
The Text is: As an action, you can magically assume the shape of a beast that you have seen before twice per short rest. [2nd] Max CR 1/4 (no flying or swimming speed)...
After getting "Wild Shape Improvment" the text didn't change.
Is it possible that features that change because of other features, are updated in "Actions"?

I can see it being a lower-priority, and that's fine, really. I wouldn't think it would be too hard though (without any knowledge of how this sheet is coded/organized) based on the fact that the spell section already expands/adjusts based on level and class.
However, I did backtrack and find a post from BadEye that spoke to some different adjustments which would bring the whole spell book/list back into the at-a-glance section. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of that approach over leaving it as is and just adding a ritual section for those that get it. Tough to tell without seeing both, I imagine.

Piggy-backing onto this, the Moon Circle druid doesn't get their Wild Shape moved to Bonus actions.
Any chance this could also be used for the desktop view if I use a window less than 1200px wide? I use DnD Beyond next to our VTT software (which needs more screen cause maps), and I usually use it at 1024xp wide, which now has a fixed 250px empty margin on the left side, technically wasting a quarter of the space. [edit]: And since it's fixed, even if I further decrease screen size to match the fixed width of the smaller sheet size, the margin is still there, meaning I have to juggle with a vertical scrollbar, which is again causing issues when the sidebar pops up after clicking on anywhere on the sheet.
A screen size is a screen size, regardless of device. Any changes would go across all.

This is all I need to be happy with this update. Truly appreciate the hard work that went into this, but currently this is a massive step backwards in speed and accessibility on mobile tablets.
Now if you guys could just sneak in allowing me to create a truly custom weapon where I can set the dice used (i.e. a scimitar that uses a 1d8 instead of a 1d6 - currently I can add a specific dice but cannot remove/edit/override the original), I would have just about everything I need in life.
First of all, I absolutely LOVE the new sheet! I thought of something this morning though that would be a nice to have... For currency, have a +/- type interface like you do for HP so if I find 25gp in some dead guy's pocket, I can just click on Gold and enter +25 and move on. It would save doing the math in your head, etc. It would, of course, be helpful when you're buying stuff too.
But instead shows the tags [skill] and close tags.
While we're on hover links, conditions don't tell you what they are, just that you can place them on yourself.
The movement on one of my characters is 5' because he is over cumbered, but it doesn't say that anywhere in the movement section. I thought it was an odd bug at first and it would be nice to see such a warning.
However, the reason he is over cumbered is because of the cart in his possession and D&DB thinks the half-orc is too dumb to wheel it behind him, so instead he's attempting to carry it above his head.
