I'd love to be able to, as DM, roll dice from the game log in my campaigns. Sometimes I just need to roll a dice and I can't find anywhere to do that. There should be an option for public and private rolls with that too.
I WISH there was an option to extend the character sheet for more functionality. In our campaign, we have some new or adjusted mechanics that the character sheet just cant accommodate for. I wish we were given the tools to extend the character sheet with plugins and community driven extensions. An API that allows us to code our own additions for the character sheet and share them with others in the same campaign.
Here are some semi/unique uses cases we would want to cover with that:
spells you can only use once, on your spellpage and not somewhere in unrelated tabs
spellpoints that regenerate every x days only, not every long rest, and only when you succeed on a certain DC
spell modifications, to put on top of spells. Currently they need to be noted somewhere in unrelated tabs in the charactersheet, although they absolutely belong to the spell page
and much more. I know these needs can be somewhat met with writing notes and with custom feats but that doesnt fulfill the need very well. Its unhandy to use and just not great design wise for the player. I wish we would be given the tools to add it ourselves.
DM: Add a customizable 'Quick links' for relevant pages. For example, to the campaign module, source book, certain rule pages, class pages etc.
DM: Add a file repository for easy management of maps and images used. (consider the ability to toggle access for players)
DM: Add short summary of planned encounters
Players: File repository for Handouts (such as maps, graphics, info, Session Zero instructions, etc etc)
UI: Streamline it - Move / shrink portions such as the main graphic and some link boxes.
Other possible requests:
Session scheduling tool
I love the direction DnDbeyond is going and I think it has so much more potential! I would LOVE to have my DnD resources in one location (and that being the official source). I will continue to spend money if it makes my life more convenient :-)
It would be great to have a link to the class information in the character builder. Like, when I'm in the character builder, the Artificer title should link to https://www.dndbeyond.com/classes/artificer.
Hello, I have a suggestion for you that would make your site a little better. I would like to see a sorting system for owned source books and adventures.
Often when im looking for content I would like an easy way to find my books instead of having to sort through all books until I find the one I’m looking for.
Hello! Sorry I have not checked the 145 pages of already listed improvements, so this might be already mentioned. Anyway, the other day, I was going to plan out my character, so I knew what direction I wanted to go in the long run, however, I noticed that this is not possible as of now. I wanted a feature where I am able to plan out each level of my character, what spells to pick, and what feat to take when reaching a certain level. So when I level up, it will prompt me my "planned" spells and feat for the new level and ask me if I want to commit to these or manually set up the level. This feature will drastically improve planning a character a few levels ahead or premake a character for other people at your table. This can also help other people get into DND without taking everything in at once.
I hope you get what I am trying to describe here :)
Please make it that we can create mundane non-magical items - AND please put the items that are already in the Player's Handbook under Gear in the system - for example, Cheese, Ale, etc.
Maybe we should spam dnd beyonds twitter about some community interaction & fixing shit/providing long requested small features direly needed on this site instead of their super focus on just new books and maps. Don't get me wrong I'm excited to be able to use maps on the dnd beyond once its out of Alpha, but I have other working resources for maps for now and id rather they fix all the other shit they promised first.
Not sure if this has been shared yet, but personally, I browse the homebrew tabs, looking for ideas to kickstart an adventure. The problem is, you can only go through a few pages at a time, and because people want other people to see their stuff, there's a lot of homebrew content with names starting with the letters A or Z, and nothing in the middle gets seen by anyone, so unless you know exactly what you're looking for, there's a giant slog of creations to go through before you can see new stuff. A few suggestions to this problem:
-Add a small feature where you can go to a specific page of homebrew. Just a "Go to Page ___ out of <Total Pages>" kinda thing.
-Be able to sort homebrew by "New" or "Recently Created".
-A button that gives me a random creation, similar to Wikipedia's "Random Article" button. I know, I would see a lot of trash stuff, but at least it's new trash.
Really anything, I don't care, as long as the problem is addressed. Thanks!

Is there any way that NPC's can be filtered out of the general search feature for "Monsters"?
Wading through a whack of NPC's form various campaigns &/or settings that are not relevant for a basic search under "Humanoid" - there's 139 'pages' if you don't place any filters on your search.
Either add 'NPC' as a filter that can be removed/added, or make it an additional option along side all the existing 'creature types'.
In the campaign notes page would it be possible to create collapsible text similar to the “spoiler” box but able to be used with a custom label?
for instance, I arrange the public notes by “day #” of the campaign. There’s a lot of information and it would be beneficial to be able to collapse the information from previous sessions to make it easier to utilize.
That or a table of contents option that scrolls to different points on the page.
heck being able to arrange the notes section by chapter’s (based on headings) would be extremely useful.
Ok, this one should be reeeeally quick and easy to implement, and would have an immediate benefit.
On the "My Dice" page, could we please see images of the entire set of dice we are selecting, not just the d4/d20?
I decided to actually tinker with the feature and chose to use "Old School" dice for my new character, thinking they were all white. I then faffed around for a bit thinking something was wrong when I kept rolling a red die. It took me trying out other types of rolls for it to become clear that, each die size was a different color with this set.
If you're going to all of the trouble to make these virtual dice, might as well show them off, eh?
I think it'd be awesome for Homebrew magic items to have a section for built-in actions, bonus action and reactions which can appear in the character sheet of whoever has the item while specifying the source of the action, as it'd be incredibly management-friendly to have everything your magic items do show up on your sheet outright, both for players and DMs
I am trying hard to be a loyal and supportive user. You guys are making it so hard. Your communications strategy is just all over the place. You need to get your communications strategy together.
Good job. Multiple communications channels pointing to the same thing.
An example of doing it wrong:
Ignoring the Community Update. Don't want to use it as a communications tool? Fine. Then get rid of it. Don't leave it there as a zombie. And don't get me started on the toadstools growing on https://dnd.wizards.com/.
Another example of doing it wrong:
Lots of hype, no substance. 50th anniversary, 50th anniversary, 50th anniversary. I am soooo sick already of 50th anniversary. I am sick of glossy graphics and breathless videos talking about how great everything is. Please. I want product. Update the character sheet. Update the encounter builder. Update the maps. Update the UA. Update the Community Update. Update the changelog. Give us a roadmap. Stop just waving around the dancing lights.

From the game log? You have the feature from the custom dice in the bottom left corner, is that not what you need?
That's only within a character sheet. I think what CEWT is asking for is a rollable die in the Campaign page
Check out my homebrew!
Feats | Magic Items | Monsters | Spells
I'd love to be able to add varient rule status effects. Like stressed from Rictens or the new Contaminated for drakenheim.
Could toggle blessed, baned and other spells too.
Yes Exington that is what I meant, thanks.

Really need to remove this topic since devs don’t read it at all

Can you please update the Community Update?
Last update was September 22.
