i, like many, am missing the 2014 invocations that didn't make it into 2024's phb, especially as many of them were favourites of mine. however, many of those invocations were made available in xgte and tasha's, specifically Aspect of the Moon Cloak of the Flies Far Scribe Ghostly Gaze Gift of the Everliving Ones Grasp of Hadar Improved pact weapon Lance of Lethargy Maddening Hex Relentless Hex Shroud of Shadows Tomb of Levistus Tricksters Escape & Undying Servitude, as well as all of the Pact of the Talisman stuff from Tashas.
as the 2024 classes were supposed to be backwards compatible to the earlier books, we should be able to still use this invocations, right? but unless we add them all manually theres no way to add those to a 2024 warlock on dndbeyond. this feels like a very difficult and frankly disingenuous way of maintaining "backwards compatibility" and honestly, why the hell would i switch to 2024 rules if half the good invocations are just gone??
dndbeyond and wotc in general has gone down the toilet...
This is a small thing, but I notice there are a ton of icons across the black banner now for various D&DB social media. This is unneeded clutter and most of them are for social media properties I do not and won't use.
It would be nice if we could toggle these off; there's quite enough going on on most pages and it's a distraction when you're just looking at your character sheet trying to play the game.
Having the ability to add items onto a map that players can find and pick up would be my top request.
example: pile of gold, potions, items.
i get there would need to be small icon versions of items for map view but could you create a bag, chest, box, backpack, or some kind of container where any item or items could be placed and when picked up automatically added to players inventory?
Just an idea but the ability to make some of your Homebrew creations private so your players (or fellow players) can't see it. There have been times where I have a species or lineage that I'm working the kinks out of and a player in a game I'm not DMing for selects it, not to mention I don't want to spoil the surprise when it comes to content that I want to surprise people with later. Would this be possible or is there an existing feature that I am overlooking?
It would be ideal if we could see the Expanded Rules subclasses from past books on the pages for the 2024 version of the classes. You can see the options when choosing your subclass at level 3 in the character creator, but I want to give my players all of the options they have available in one place without confusing them.
It would also be great if the partnered content subclasses could be made available for the 2024 classes. You only added the first Humblewood book onto here like a year ago and I'd like my players to have the option to use that content!
As a wish for the new Monster Manual release, it'd be awesome if legacy stat blocks would be populated with links towards the new versions of the same monster. This would make running older modules with the 2024 rules (and monsters) a lot smoother.
Could be like below or above the stat block, so whenever accessing those through the text of an adventure module, you'd be able to reach the new versions without manual searches

This would be a great feature. Was coming here to suggest a toggle in adventures to use either 2014 or 2024 rules including stat blocks
Please update the 2024 encounter builder to use the 2024 difficulty calculations. Wizards designed 2024 to be the most tabletop-friendly iteration of the game--it is really disappointing to see Beyond undermine that promise by refusing to update their encounter builder, forcing players to either use obsolete difficulty calculations or Maps' encounter building system, which lacks meaningful sort options and is extremely unwieldy for tabletop play given all the dead space taken up by irrelevant maps tools.
One thing I would love to see DnDbeyond implement is some sort of tool for scaling the CR of monsters automatically. Similar to the homebrew a monster, but you put in a desired CR after selecting the monster to copy and it would auto calculate the stat changes.
An optional feature for maps that I think would be nice is a healthbar mechanic. There are some times when I'm having my party fight against a big boss where I feel as if a healthbar would add a good feeling of how the fight is going. There could be an option where there could either be a small healthbar under the icon of the creature or a large healthbar under the initiative counter during an encounter.

I would love to see this at the Campaign level. For example. I want a setting that I can toggle, similar to the character generator that shows an option to either use legacy monsters or 2024 monsters, if available. This would then trickle into both the Encounter Builder and Maps. At the source level also makes sense so that when prepping and not within the campaign, I can click on a Grell or Grick and get the 2024 version instead of the 2014 version.
I’d really like a party dashboard for a campaign, where I can see key details about all the characters in the campaign at a glance: AC, HP, proficient saves/skills with bonus, languages, and passive perception.
Please also fix website menu advance filters to include free rules into phb 2024 filters some spells or items are missing unless you select both or core rules parent category.
Allow Dedicated Weapon for 2024 Monks. Monks are not just hand to hand fighters! Using Dedicated Weapon with a Shortbow is an integral part of my 15th level Legacy Monk's character and fighting style.
Or just allow 2024 character classes to select Optional Class Features as before. Not all make sense in 2024 classes, but they were always optional and up to DM discretion to allow anyway.
Many Optional Class Features are still valid as game rules by the "backwards compatibility" criterion since they haven't been explicitly rewritten. It's a valid choice to use Dedicated Weapon with a 2024 Monk if your DM allows it, and it's just that DDB no longer allows you to use the Dedicated Weapon mechanic on your character sheet. Which is annoying.
Or allow Monks to treat some ranged weapons as Monk Weapons. (That would require a rule change in the game though.)
As others have said, there are a lot of Invocations missing from 2024 Warlock. Let 2024 Warlocks take Legacy Invocations! My Pact of the Tome Warlock makes heavy use of Book of Ancient Secrets ability to acquire and write Rituals. Losing those to be replaced by 2 first level Rituals that can be rechosen after a rest (as in the 2024 Pact of the Tome) is not an option.
I know this is probably talking into the void but please bring back the ability to at least purchase the races/species separately. I don't have need for a digital version of the whole book but would like to to have the ability to choose a few other races/species on my personal account.
I am not a DM and have no desire to be a DM and just want to mess with character creation.
Maybe have packs of races/species you can purchase separately. Just another way to make money from those of us who don't want to and won't purchase the whole book.

Yes. To see passives I have to go into each character sheet.
If I could see a minimalist stat block of each character, that would be great.

For there is nothing that is not built on bones.
any updates on when we'll be getting a way to make custom vehicles and base (non-magical) equipment?

These should surely be simple enough fixes?
Dice jail for when im not happy with the rolls im getting. They can sit in time out for giving me a roll below 5 for the 3rd time.

Two options I would love to see:
Hide legacy content toggle for pages like Spells, Feats, Monsters, etc. I don't need to see so many listings twice.
Please allow more than 20 spells/monsters per page, similar to the Feats page.
I’d really like a party dashboard for a campaign, where I can see key details about all the characters in the campaign at a glance: AC, HP, proficient saves/skills with bonus, languages, and passive perception.
I wish "My Homebrew Creations" page had a column showing number of comments
