I know this is probably talking into the void but please bring back the ability to at least purchase the races/species separately. I don't have need for a digital version of the whole book but would like to to have the ability to choose a few other races/species on my personal account.
I am not a DM and have no desire to be a DM and just want to mess with character creation.
Maybe have packs of races/species you can purchase separately. Just another way to make money from those of us who don't want to and won't purchase the whole book.
I do miss this as well, sometimes you really wanted just a select few items for character creation rather than a whole book you wont use. More than anything I miss the fact that it let you see what you were actually buying so you knew if it was worth buying the whole book or not. I have zero interest buying most books at all now because I don't know if I'd be getting stuff of use to me.
Could we get a togglable function to deduct living expenses each time a party takes a long rest. Its tedious to track and would give some deeper value to treasure for those that want it.
Agreed. Never really understood why they did this. Really wish they would bring it back. I purchased all the main books but I don't need many of these setting books. I would think they would want to make some money instead of no money.

Would also be nice if in inventory management that: When adding an item, for it to not just have "add" but also "buy for *RAW gp value for that item*" and would automatically deduct that number of gp from your coin pouch While at it they could also add In inventory rather than just "remove" it would have "sell at full value" & "sell at half value" and auto add that coins to your pouch. Would making in game shopping more streamlined.
Major request. On the Manage hp page. can we get a breakdown of what hp was rolled for each level up.
Many games I play in the DM gives the option of using our roll for hp level up, or if we roll badly we can choose to have them roll instead.
It's IMPOSSIBLE to figure out unless i note down what my character hp is prior to leveling up on beyond to figure out what the roll was and then have to manually adjust it each time If I take the DMs roll instead.
I would really love to be able to search for spells have their 2014 variant returned. its ridiculous that half the spells disappears when i go searching for spells.

To be fair, one of the issues here is that, now that you can store your coins in different containers, there'd be no simple way to identify which coins to pull from which containers to pay for the item, or where to put your coins when selling an item.
It would be nice to have that appear if you're just using the default single "coin purse" storage, though.
The battle map feature is so tempting! But I read that your changes go away if inactive. It would be nice if the map was a resource that could be referenced and interacted with over Play-by-Post (sometimes battles can take over a week to finish.
I'm currently making all my maps on PhotoPea, but I'd gladly pay for the service, if I could link my campaign to a battle map and have the players make their own moves. Bonus points if the map flags AoOs, difficult terrain, and limits movements to legal distances.

I'm honestly not expecting many huge changes to Maps in general, as they are also actively working on Project Sigil, the 3D VTT system.
Please add custom and homebrew backgrounds that work with the 2024 rules. you can't add ability score improvements in homebrew and you can't add ability score improvements or feats in the custom background in the character builder.

I wasn't even aware of that feature. Is it a mapping feature too?
I asked this question 6 years ago in the comments of the Bandit but it never got traction enough to be seen by Devs so i hope to have them see it this way.
I know I'm asking a lot of a free service, but I would like the Devs to think about it because it would make interactions with common Humanoid so much easier.
Request for Race/Species Changing NPC Stat Blocks.
Can the Devs implement a way to change the stat blocks of NPC by selecting a specific race/species like:
open the bandit stats -> click "any race" -> choose a race -> have basic stats for (race/specie) bandit.
So a Elf Bandit would have the Racial/species Traits of the Elf added/interchanged in the statblock.
Instead of having a cluttered homebrew collection page because you had to make 20 different bandits, nobles, thugs, etc.
I know many others have also requested this, but allow us to add Actions for normal and magical items. Spells too i think we can't do. I have a hb magical item i want listed as an action but i cannot and I have to have a custom action for it.
Request for a DM-centric homepage toggle in your settings, that puts Spells, Monsters, and Magic Items as the large icons in the Game Rules tab instead of Classes, Backgrounds, and Species.

You can do it with a complex stat block that just lists everything, but D&D Beyond doesn't give you enough control over your html to have some blocks be hidden (it requires javascript or css conditionals).
I would like to request 6 features for D&D Beyond and Maps:
1. Image export for statblocks - makes things easier to print out for players with summons, or giving players control over some NPCs without making them fumble over multiple characters/tabs in their devices mid game. Useful for in-person games and conventions.
2. Basic asset stickers for Maps - Things like trees, folliage, columns, doors, scaffoldings, platforms, tables, and such would be nice to easily customize basic maps.
3. One Button X Card (Viewable on Game Log for intended campaign members, i.e. the DM) - You can probably make it a part of the character sheet, OR the dice roller.
Since safety rules have been integrated into the new system, why not make these safety rules easily accessible to the players to send out to the DM if they are only playing on one window/screen. It would also be good if the players can send other players a personal X card (which is also visible to the DM) so they can subtly tell other players that they are easily uncomfortable with the direction of someone's roleplay without destroying the game's momentum or raising awkward conversations.
4. Re-assignable DM roles in Campaigns - For campaigns that have rotating DMs, I wish the DM Role is separate from the Campaign Creator role so the DM role can rotate around the table for group flexibility.
5. Allow DMs to easily add items to their players' inventories. - A short way with this flow "search an item" -> "add to..." -> "select player character"
5-a. Allow DMs to add "unappraised"/"unidentfied" items to players' inventories
6. Allow creation of Sideckick characters in the Character Creation as per TCoE rules. Making NPCs that grow with the party in long campaigns should be simple.
My players tend to add summoned creatures during combat. They also like to use Spiritual Weapon. It would be nice to have some way of adding these summoned spell effects/creatures to the map.
For example, yesterday, one of the clerics in the party summoned a Spiritual Weapon. I had to use a new token of that PC and rename it "Spiritual Weapon." Another player cast "Summon Celestial" but there was no stat block I could add that was the correct info. So I had to use Planetar and ignore the stat block.
I am humbling requesting a custom modifier added to Subclass and Feat Homebrews that let you take new weapons as Monk Weapons, since the Kensei Modifier is a Hidden Modifier and DnD Beyond will not unlock that modifier...
