When campaign management goes live, we will never lock a user from viewing content they paid for. The option will exist for the DM to stop content sharing for specific compendium content, but the original people that purchased that content will always have access to it. Remember, campaign management is still quite a ways away. It's coming, but we're still solidifying the foundation before building this massive tower.
So yes, if a player wants to read ToA they will always be able to read it if they've purchased it - no matter what campaigns they're a part of.
The concern I was mentioning was that when Beyond was marketed, several places spoke about gaming groups splitting the costs and getting a master tier to share everything. I'm sure it's not being pushed like that now, but some groups out there, such as mine, did use that system to purchase the system. We knew what we were purchasing and money in my bank before the option for people to all share their own purchases was announced (or at least before I caught it).
in the end, I'm sure this one isn't a huge deal because the master tier can always just kick people out of sharing anyways, and I know I won't ever have that issue, but there may be people our there that will have concerns. But I suppose that's a bridge to cross when they get there lol.

Not sure if this has been mentioned (I'm certain it has to of come up) but having the campaign manager be able to limit the sources for my players when they build/modify their characters would be extremely helpful. I don't mind that they look at all my unlocked content but for character build (and I've posted this in the character builder thread) there needs to be a way to make Adventure League legal characters. Currently no good way to verify that except for trusting the player and putting in time to verify everything.

That's a not-terribly-low priority.

Yes, granular permissions for sharing is on the roadmap for implementation. :)
I would like to be able to chage the roles (dungeon master or player) in the campaing. Since the content is in my account, but I am not the DM.
Do you or one of your players have a master tier sub? If so have the DM create the campaign on his account and turn on content sharing. As long as one of you has a master tier sub then all your content will be shared in that campaign.
I've read much of this thread, but I haven't found any posts which posits my burning question:
Will there be an API available for DNDBeyond?
I can't imagine that, given the other priorities of the team, campaign management will be released any time soon. However, if an API was available, along with some form of OAUTH for authentication, read-only access to monster and character data, with perhaps write access for a subset of the character (Inventory, XP and HP), campaign management tools could be built by other interested parties.
It'd open up opportunities for a lot of "one-off" tooling that currently exists, with DNDBeyond's rich data set.

I believe they talked about it in their first video update. If I recall it was a yes there will be one, but it will be fairly limited due to IP concerns? I may be off base and just dreamed that though.

I recall seeing a quote from one of the developers about only players only able to join 1 of the 3 campaigns available with master tier sharing. I haven't found any information about that particular comment since though, so I want to clarify.
If I were to have a master tier subscription and be DM, can I have the SAME 6 players (or less) in EACH of the three content sharing campaigns, or will each of the three campaigns need to have unique player accounts in each of them? (If that doesn't make sense please let me know so I can try to clarify better).

Hi there Tipster,
you can have the same players in multiple campaigns. Those players can even have multiple characters in each campaign.

Haven't been logged in for a month. Browsing around, the site seems rather dead. Are there any new patch-notes / plans updates anywhere? I used to find stuff on these forums, but it appears activity is rather low, or maybe I'm just not looking the right places?
Is there a place I can read about current things underway, plans, progress etc.? If not, I would suggest making one. :-)

Status and future releases are usually given in a monthly stream. Here the last one. Short term releases are the character sheet revamp and the mobile app.
I haven’t delved into this tread for a while, and it’s a bit dense. But I will chip in my two cents and say that i’ve Been using DDB to supplement an IRL pen and paper game. It’s really nice to have character sheets backed up in the campaign if someone forgets their sheet or misses a session. However because I use DDB as my primary way to update xp (I like not needing to have all the numbers off the top of my head), I find it very annoying to have to go into each sheet, add xp, navigate all the way back out to campaign and repeat for each character.
i am requesting two things: a way for the DM to manage individual character XP from the campaign page, and a link back to the campaign the character sheet is associated with from the view sheet page (especially because the back button doesn’t work if you got to the character sheet from another page, or a link which means it’s a minimum of two pages to navigate through to see the campaign again).
I'd argue that places that are "full of vitality" don't have user-discussion forums that have gone two or more days without a new post or other "high traffic" areas that go hours without new content.
Now, the PBP forum? that is a happening place overflowing with vitality. Everywhere else is almost a ghost town by comparison.

My intent in saying "full of vitality" was about new features of DDB in development (as it was the question of the post I replied to), not about forum traffic.
Hey, i would like to see things like multi-sheet interaction. Things like the DM can deal damage direct on your sheet when a monster attack, or you can heal a specific party member direct on beyond sheet at the time you "cast" the heal spell.

Being able to heal another player is actually quite brilliant. I have suggested live updates between player and DM sheets, so If I manipulate a players sheet it pushes the changes to the player, which would rock in itself. (easy to give stealthy inspiration or pick pocket characters)
But I really like the idea that you could heal another player (as long as the DM got a notification as well)
