I see that you can create unassigned characters within a campaign now, which is great. Is there anyway for me to move existing characters I have in my pool into a campaign?
Just use the campaign's invite link.

Thanks, that works though I would consider it highly unintuitive.
The use case I'm working on is characters I've created for a campaign I'm running, I would like to assign for purposes of then (eventually) assigning those characters to other players.
I apologize if this been brought up and I missed it in the thread...but I'm really looking forward to the additions in campaign management. I would love to see where you could link the monsters or Npc listings in my campaign notes. It would make referencing them when I need to much easier. Also as a note..I am loving the site and can't wait to see how it develops!

Hi Loyalbluefox, welcome to the forums o/
Could I ask you what you mean by "monsters or Npc listings"? I ask because it seems you might not be aware that currently you can have quick reference to monsters and NPC (granted they are from an official source) by using the tooltips, like so: Bandit if you hover on the name of the monster, it will open up a tooltip with the basic info taken from the statblock of the monster/npc, and clicking on it you can open the full page of the monster/npc, and it can be done as easily as writing [ monster ]Bandit[ /monster ] (without spaces). For more info you can look in the post linked in my signature. To an extent this can be done as well with monsters you can create with the homebrew tools of the website, but unfortunately there is no chance of tooltipping in this case, and the easiest way is to create a hyperlink to the page of the homebrew. BadEye confirmed in the latest livestream they are looking into making tooltips available for homebrew content as well, but it's still a little way to wait.
If you meant something else... sorry to misinterpret you ^^" if you clarify, though, I might still be able to help you or at least give you ideas while we wait for the campaign manager to receive more tools and additions.

... Try, then you'll tell me...
I am currently writing down a whole campaign doing exactly what I suggested. Campaign notes have the same formatting and linking capabilities the forum has.

1. Initiative tracker that lets you put monsters in the initiative and show all combatants most basic stats in the line, then also has a + sign that lets you open up the character sheet or Monster page right in the tracker without having to back out and go through all the extra rigamarol
2. A encounter builder that can look at your campaign and calculate the actual CR your party is operating on (taking into account magic weapons and such (but not counting deactivated players)) and then use that to find a monster or monsters (that you've purchased) to fight....and then do minor tweaks (like more or less AC or HP or such) and show how it changes the CR of the encounter.
3. buttons on a GM screen (which I've mentioned before) for things like downtime or random encounter tables, where, once you click it, it brings up all the options for those things in one place regardless of where they normally are (assuming of course that you have actually bought the materials).
Others have mentioned it, but the thing I would like to see the most before other major features are implemented is a change to the PC links on the campaign manager. We should be able to see a vital stat block for each PC instead of just character/player. The PC blocks should have at a minimum their AC, passive perception, HP, and condition. Seeing their abilitiy scores or modifiers would be great as well. As DMs we should not have to click to view their full sheet to get quick info.

Just tested it out in campaign notes. It works. Once you save the notes it shows up on the main campaign page.
Sorry I am just getting back to this. I was talking about in the private campaign notes, so that I can just pull up DNDBeyond and have the monster stat blocks right there and ready for me. I'd love to be able to use this, and have everything all in one place.

I think you might need to be more descriptive with your request then. It sounds like you want to link to a statblock from the campaign notes, either public or private. Lek answered this that you can. Tooltips work in the campaign notes. So Aboleth is created by typing [monster]Aboleth[/ monster] just without the space after the slash. You can hover over the name to get information or click it to go to the monster's page. Is this not what you want?
For now im using facebook for campaign management. This site has very basic capabilities and i dont think its worth using for now.
As for statsblock... I guess unless we can make pictures of it and then have it there... Well... Even that is redundant if you look at tooltips...

Out of curiosity, how are you using Facebook for campaign management? Aside from scheduling sessions and not having to use third party image hosting, I'm not seeing where a significant benefit comes when compared to what's on DDB, especially given the tooltips and html editing capabilities that currently exist here that do not exist on Facebook (as far as I know). Granted, I've had to do some workarounds to make DDB work for me, so I'd love to hear about other ways that might be more efficient.
Well, the tooltip is nice. I'd love to have the actual statblock. I haven't tried this on my tablet to see how the tooltip works there.
If you want the actual statblock, you can always take a screenshot of it from the monster overview or page, load it up on a private image host service (like ibb) and then insert the direct image link into the notes with the insert image option and... Voilà, statblock in the notes.
Edit: I know for a fact this to be working. My DM and public notes are full of images (maps, monster/NPC artwork etc), linked as above, taken from DDB itself or loaded on ibb.

facebook allows me to create a group that is just for players alone. It also has file hosting capability which means i can write documents and then post them for my players to see whenever they wants. I often create my own wanted posters and my own quest boards pictures. Facebook serves as both a hub for content of my world which as its own page dedicated to it. And a page dedicated to each groups. I also have no limit of players on them and i also have no limit of pages i can create. Organising sessions is easier because when i post to say a game may not happen due to work. Everyone knows right away.
These are literally the only thing i want from this site campaign management. As long as those things are not availlable. I think facebook is the better campaign manager. Mind you these are my thought and i know not everyone wants these. But for me having it all in one place is what i want.
A site for pictures. A site for documents. A site for chatting... Nah all in one place baby.

I think the developers should look into developing the Campaign Manger in a game engine like Unreal Engine 4. It will give alot of versatility for the present and future: moblie integration; upgrading graphically; animation integration; modding and plug-in creation for Homebrew; FUTURE AR integration; UE4 has Streaming integration already; Licensing is good.........etc........ These modern game engines can be used for many things now; alot of development is already done.
P.S. I'm sure people at Epic would be hype about this - they may even partner.
