As a technical person, I'll tell you there is almost no depth I won't go to to understand a system I'm interested in.
And, as much as well commented and explained code can be as valuable as pure gold, nothing beats having the actual developer there to explain it.
So, while I appreciate that not everyone cares about that stuff, from what I hear from the most active people, there are actually a lot of programmers around here. I would even dare to say around 50% of the most active users (here, on the discord server, in the twitch channel) are programmers of some sort who are interested in that stuff.
I'm not saying every stream should feature behind the scenes technical details but me and several other people would love to see more technical oriented updates.
I definitely enjoyed hearing it.

I never asked you to build me an online tabletop, I do not want an online tabletop. If I was desperate for that I'd get people to by VTT on Steam, or I'll just wait for TaleSpire to drop. Roll20 ****ing sucks. Absolutely nobody wants you guys to be Roll20. Stop chasing them.
When Yurei1453 was refering to VTTs here, clearly they weren't talking about integrated Gameboards here, they were talking about exactly the same stuff they were talking about earlier in that same comment; "We have the Combat Tracker alpha. the Encounter Builder...beta? Sub-beta? Wherever that is. The Digital Dice Roller. The Avrae Discord bot."
In fact, as of this morning anyway, the Integrated Dice Roller is 22nd and the Combat Tracker is 28th on that list you provided.
Way below: API @ 6th, Containers @ 10th, and Homebrew Base Class Support @ 13th.
So, I get what you're in the middle of (or tail end of, if we're lucky) is the biggest overhaul you have or ever will undergo, and that's really tough. But lets not pretend you aren't adding the stuff YOU really wanna add, and leaving a lot of what WE WANT at best on a side-table for later consideration.

The other aspect is that was suggested as a feature 3 years ago. A lot of new virtual tabletop options have come out since then (Talespire, Astral tabletop) and several updates to existing virtual table tops. I think its a bit odd to think that DnD Beyond will catch up with these programs who sole focus is VTT/Gameboard when they have issues keeping up integration on their own content. Like if you can deliver on your bread and butter you shouldn't be trying to make a 4 course meal.
I don't say this to be mean. I love this community and the site but at some point you have to see the forest through the trees and focus on delivering the things other people can't which is integration of all the material into a cohesive unit. API and what not could help with this significantly as you can start leveraging the community to help build you up.
Just please don't get caught up in the game of catch up against VTTs.
As a supporter of D&D Beyond, I would like to say thank you for all the work you all are doing. I look forward to seeing the Player App. Is there anything on a Mobile app tracker/with damage/conditions for DMs? I run solely on digital, iphone, ipad, laptop with an extra monitor. I use the website as my DM screen, swapping to each players character, and note and would love to have the tracker on my phone. Also the search feature in D&D Beyond doesn't always bring up all the creatures and from day to day, may not even bring up results for other searches as well.
Come on now, it's only been seven months since UA Class Feature Variants come out...
You are correct. And it's only the biggest change to how the DDB DB works since it was built in the first place. Shouldn't take more than a minute to implement, right?

It's important to note that the character sheet service update, which was 9 months of work and only just finished a little bit ago, was needed to make the Class Feature Variants possible, along with a lot of other features (Spells of the Mark, the recent Spell Upcasting toggle).
Sometimes there's a period in development where you have to spend time reworking existing systems to make new ones possible, rather than working on those new systems. In an ironic call back to this threads title, it's a matter of priority. If B needs A to function, you need to finish A before you can start B. That's where they're at with CFV for example
While I agree there's a lot of things in need of improving, the amount of stuff in the DMG that can't be "selected" or an option for players like blessings, charms and epic boobs etc is mildly irritating. The inability to remove SRD spells from spell lists is a nuisance, and the lack of a way to remove named monster/npc stat blocks from searches would make a massive difference...

Freudian slip?
A lot more people will play to the high levels if Epic Boobs were a reward.

All of the SRD spells are also in the PHB.

You know, I noticed that too, but didn’t want to be the one to point it out. I’m glad somebody did though.

Autocorrect is my bane... 🤦♂️
Yes, but there are non-copyright duplicates in the spell lists on D&D Beyond; for example, Leomund's Tiny Hut has duplicate called Tiny Hut...
Ahh. I misunderstood you.
