I just had an idea that I think could be easy to program and fun for anyone running a campaign:
Have some sort of time and weather tracker/generator for each campaign.
It would maybe be helpful to have a time tracker visible only to the DM (or to the characters if the DM chose that option)
My vision for it could be that there would be default months/days and whatnot (or you could somehow enter your own)..and you could advance them somehow as you like.
You could set parameters for what the weather might be like during each month, and let the system randomly generate weather conditions. And...use them or not in your game...but just something interesting to add a little flavor, and you wouldn't need to keep trying to remember where you wrote down what the last date was...

This is a brilliant idea. An in campaign game world calendar would be fantastic.
