Homebrew amnesty. I'd like a one-time chance to unpublish every one of my homebrews. Perhaps to coincide with the 2024 revisions so that I can revise my brews under the new conventions without creating new versions. Better yet, unpublish all homebrews so we can start over with that mess of an archive.
I just want groups. To be able to setup groups on my My Characters page. So I can sort different pcs/npcs from different worlds, games or servers into smaller, easier sections.
Animal companion, summon, familiars, you can add on the app under the extras section without accessing the site. If your class or spell gives you minions, it should auto enter it as such.
I haven't read the whole thread, so I may be repeating, but I'd love to be able to add additional classes. We can add entirely new races, why not classes?

That is something that has been suggested (quite often)
As to why we can make custom races, but not classes? One of the reasons is orders of magnitude of complexity. Classes are the single most complex game element and actually define other game elements, whereas races are much simpler as have fewer features and generally not that complex of features. For example, the artificer infusion feature alone is more complex than most races
Also the contamination status in the newest 3P release is intresting. It would be greate to add features like this so they apply to each character in a campaign.
A public Update on the status of the DND beyond VTT they are making. And before all the DND purists hate on it I think its a great tool that can draw in even more players to DND you dont have to use it if you dont want.
I would love to have some way of organizing characters in the "My Characters" tab, so you can sort characters into their campaigns, etc and declutter that screen. For all those who've made many, many characters, it would be really helpful!
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
What do you you get when you combine a reader, a writer and an actor? An enormous D&D nerd.
I'd say what I want most is more character slots. I know that that's a subscription feature, but give the basic nonsupscription 10 instead of 6. I enjoy making new character builds, and I'm guessing a lot of you do too. This would help us do this and would be really cool.
Pokemon Master, Hero of Hyrule, Jedi Knight, Minecrafter, Celestial Being Beyond Comprehension, Bounty Hunter, Salmon Runner, Nailmaster, Yarn Yoshi Enjoyer, Animal Lover, Math Rock Roller, Nerd King in all Aspects.
(And, of course, Dragon Tamer. It is in the name, after all)
What I want most right now is for the articles to be organized again. I miss being able to look through a particular category of article or search for a specific one. Being able to actually find the article I was looking for was great. So, my No. 1 feature I want is the resurrection of the past organizational system for articles.
Some god-damned honesty from the devs. Return the public roadmap. If the encounter builder, general features system, homebrew revamp etc. are have been abandoned (as it appears) then be freaking honest about it. Don't lead people on for years.
I would love if there was an obvious indication that a spell or item is Homebrew in both the manage character section and on the character sheet. Like the little green house icon next to the name or simply HB at the end.
A lot of my players keep adding homebrew features without realizing they aren't published 5e content. I like to be sure a homebrew feature isn't totally broken before they add it tot he character.
I know they can turn off homebrew, but that will prevent me from being able to give them homebrew items and such they acquire through the campaign. And I'm not totally against them having homebrew stuff, just want them to know it needs to be reviewed 1st
making weapon creation more detailed -eg price tag option
finish encounter feature development, same goes to maps
as already stated many times roadmap
those rare af times when you add "free" (because you sometimes add locked stuff, like dragon from fizban) adventures make them ddb competible not just pdf or wall of text in artictle which need be searched on site every time you want to open it and i guess most people want to open it same way they open claimed content)
but honestly i guess it's fall of deaf ears, because no one except ddb users care
integration options from different custom map makers such as Dungeon Alchemist
Fix stability with IOS, iphone and ipad. I have 2-4 of my players every week end up with Maps crashing and them loosing access for the session. Even as DM to me and I use a PC.
Integration with "My Encounters"
Integration with player sheets
Status effect and condition trackers for players and monsters
Hide monster names and NPC names from players
My Encounters
Condition trackers
Flag players when it is their turn
Concentration tracker for casters
Integration with Maps so it is easy to identify which monster on the tracker is which monster on the map. Without having to rename them all and have the players see this and break the encounter. They see goblinC but not goblinA now they know there are at least 3 goblins.
Purchased books enhancements
Make the Sources section more like the APP where i can filter to only the books I own.
Please for the love of god! please add a global search option for books I am reading or trying to reference.
Add bookmarks and notes section for source material.
After all this then start working on a world builder functionality. This can be light weight but something would be nice.
Add more 3rd party material to DnDBeyond there are some fantastic 3rd party books out there that would be amazing if they could be added.
I have a 1/2 dozen DM screens at the house. However it would be nice if there was a Tool that was a GM screen that has all the basic stuff that I purchased both in digital and physical form.
Make this DM screen customizable where i can add my own notes for uncommon things that actually are common at my table. i.e. water travel and related stuff (I am running a Pirate campaign atm).
Make this DM Screen easily to access from within any given campaign. For Master Tier subscribers give us the ability to customize this screen for each Campaign we are running.

Find my D&D Beyond articles here
Honestly, right now I'd love to add my own homebrew status effects that can be applied.
VGR added a stressed condition that works kind of like exhaustion. I'd love to be able to add that. And add toggles like blessed. Baned etc.

I want a sidekick build in the extras. How do we add one? Homebrew monster?
Also, would like a draw feature in the maps feature and eventually full integration, including targeting with specific abilities.
Check out these tools for avatar building not free but they are amazing. I use them both all the time art and homebrew ideas.
1. Midjourney
2. Chatgpt
