What I really want out of beyond is to go to 6th edition, and/or have access to digital 4th content we used to have access too.
I struggle with the simplest things in 5th, just picking my 1st level class. In the builder, I can't tell what is required per class. In the builder, I can't tell what class is better to pick first.
I also don't know how the spells are managed or work. Each class has a whole spreadsheet of spells that I have no idea how they combine.
Where 4th edition, the only difficulty was the time it took per turn to find out how many booleans were true to add up my damage. I had at-will, encounter, and dailies that explained exactly how to use the powers.
I hope there is just some trick in 5th to managing spells that I just didn't learn yet that will make it easy to understand.
On top of the confusing aspects of 5th that I want fixed/improved, after paying a monthly fee, I still don't have access to all the things. When we had the digital package in 4th, we had access to all mechanical content for the monthly fee.
I still have a library of almost all the 4th books. I don't understand the two of the basic 3 books of 5th, so I never bought more 5th books. It feels bad, like extortion to pay the monthly fee and also be required to buy the books on top of that. I am saying the feeling of that feels bad. When a feat is locked behind a fee, it feels like pay-to-win, which changes the dynamic of my purchases from paying to enjoy more content to just trying to cheaply have a character that isn't bad.
I also don't understand why the 4th digital content is no longer available. That system worked really well for me in the past, and I would like to have access 4th digital content optionally as well for the monthly fee. Particularly as noted above here, the usage of at-will, encounter, and daily were simply easy to understand.
I want to thank you all for the hard work you've done creating and supporting dndbeyond. Without it, I seriously doubt any of my players would've been able to understand a large part of playing the game, including character creation, making attacks, rolling for damage, etc. I feel like the learning curve is quite high if you only have the books as reference and it creates a pretty big hurdle that prevents some from getting into the game. Dndbeyond has streamlined a lot of that and because of it I get to play D&D with my friends. I also appreciate the work put into the tools available for play-by-post on the forums here. There's a lot to be thankful for, and I just wanted to say again, your hard work is appreciated.
1. Better ways to sort: purchases, encounters, characters, etc
2. The ability to change the hit points of the monster when creating an encounter, rather than having to remember I want to change them when the encounter begins and then waste the players’ time as I do the book keeping.

First, I agree with you.
Second, if you think the learning curve is high now, you should have seen it back in 79, when we didn’t even have a DM Guide yet!
I'm working on a necromancy warlock rn and while reading up on some of the spells and invocations, I noticed Animate Dead doesn't mention it can be used as an invocation by Warlocks.
Maybe a bit niche but it would be nice if you could filter for invocation spells somehow.
just download the blank, fill in character sheet from WotC's website then?

Trying to get your physical content on Beyond is like going to Microsoft and saying "I have a physical Playstation disk, give me a digital Xbox version!"
4. A system to submit this type of feedback that doesn't take 2 months to get a mod response. If it's small stuff, put a one-liner on the changelogs and clear out the feedback. Show us that we are actually being heard. Give us some monthly updates about what is being considered and what's coming. Ex: Having the main feedback thread be pinned with rows and rows of "discontinued", clear it out. If the mods can't figure it out or just don't want too, we should be able to let WOTC know to outsource it to figure out a better system.
5. Language translations for those of whom English isn't a first language.
Treat divine spells like wizard spells allowing them to be "learned" and written in spell books
Have multiple spellbooks
Honestly, most things can be hacked with magic items, except for the spell stuff.
THIS! I loke to customize my characters and add things like spells to non caster types through learning or gifts have always been a good reward that shouldn't require taking a whole level of another class.

It doesn’t necessarily require taking a level in another class. Lots of that stuff can be done through awarding books in the form of feats that allow for limited spellcasting, or by adding ⅓ casting abilities to a noncaster subclass in the homebrewer. Like, for example, you could add Eldritch Knight style spellcasting to any subclass for any Figghter, Barbarian, or Monk, or add Arcane Trickster style spellcasting to any subclass of Rogue. And those feats I mentioned can be added directly to the character sheets instead of requiring an ASI level too.
I personally think that it’s unfair to have the physical books and not be able to use them in DNDB. I’m a broke student and spent most of my money on the physical ones (because they were cheaper) to find out it’s only for in person. I understand why we can’t, but cut us broke people some slack!

For everything to actualy work as it should and not needing to use workarounds or just straight up not being able to do things

Hello,
A french translation s'il vous plait !
Thanks :-)
If we are doing the Baldur Gate Gazeteer (Thank you solidly)
can we get the Waterdeep Enchiridion?
If Sword Coast Adventurer Guide is legacy stuff, Can we have the lore from the book that is no longer sold (Elturel not withstanding)
Sword Coast Adventurer's Guide isn't legacy, it's still available for purchase here.
The only books that have been given the legacy tag are Volo's Guide to Monsters and Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes

Please, by the gods, add a single button click in the search filter for Source to select "all source books I already own".
Two things:
1. Better ways to sort: purchases, encounters, characters, etc
2. The ability to change the hit points of the monster when creating an encounter, rather than having to remember I want to change them when the encounter begins and then waste the players’ time as I do the book keeping.

YES! At minimum add a tag saying “unowned content”!

Homebrew classes. I would love that.
To be able to gift a subscription!
(Just tried to make a thread and it was automatically marked as spam, one reason I am rarely on here anymore and enjoying pathfinder more and more)
"I swear, it was on fire when I got there!"
I honestly can't believe the tool has been up this long and still doesn't allow you to create your own class. That seems like an obvious need.
1. Homebrew Classes
2. Ability to add actions to homebrew items
3. Forum access on mobile app
