Firstly: You do not need to publish homebrew in order to use it in your campaigns. All private homebrew is automatically shared.
Secondly, it looks like you have made a Monk subclass with features at levels 3, 7, 11 and 17. Monks get subclass features at levels 3, 6, 11 and 17. Your 7th level feature would need to be swapped to 6th level, and then your homebrew saved in order to publish it.
it says that i cant upload my subclass because it doesn't met the requirements and i don't know which because it doesn't tell me
Hello!
You only need to publish your homebrew to share with the D&D Beyond community at large, your private homebrew is automatically shared with your players.
The auto-moderator only re-checks validity when saved from the main edit page, where you enter the subclass name and description. A few things you'll want to make sure you've done before you publish a subclass:
1) Make sure you have entered a description.
2) Make sure your subclass gets its features at the levels shown in the Basic Rules. Each class has their own 'progression' that it follows, and a subclass can only be published if it follows that progression.
3) Ensure you haven't linked any spells to the subclass that are not provided by the Basic Rules or other free published content like the Elemental Evil Player's Companion.
Question. You know how Ritual Caster feat gives off an unlimited amount of options, how when you select 2 you can select a 3rd, then a 4th pops up, then a 5th, etc.? How would I do that?
the "is infinite" box. It lets you pick another choice if there's another choice available, until you have no more choices of spells
Hey, I'm lost as hell on how to input the following information that I came up with for a homebrewed Artificer subclass. This is the first time that I'm doing this, I have the information on the class but not sure how to "post" it properly. can I PM the information to you and you walk me through it in some way?
Similar to the problem on the previous page, I tried to set up the two ability options where both are automatically granted(level 3) under options.
I made two options(so far), using 3,3 for the level they can be taken, but on the builder I can still only select one. Any ways to remedy this?
Edit: I got both abilities to show up as options(which I selected), but when I click on the character sheet, it has both abilities listed in addition to "No Options Made".
If I go back into the builder to edit, the options are left back at default/blank. Reselecting them just repeats in the character sheet under the features
Hello first time trying to create a sub class and I was wondering is there was a way to have a subclass automatically add an item to the character sheet? Full disclosure I am trying to modify an Artificer subclass and I either need to have the feature add an item to sheet or add an infusion that could be layered onto an existing item. Any ideas?
I'm trying to add a custom subclass feature that I made, but as it turns out it's a bit more complicated to implement than I thought. It has one charge and it works similarly to the Barbarian's Storm Herald Aura with two differences. The damage is AoE but melee range, this part I've figured out how to add to the builder.
But it has a secondary range where it applies difficult terrain. I'm not sure how to add this to the feature can anyone help?
Hi friends! Some assistance would be much appreciated.
I'm looking to add an option (or modifier?) to my subclass that indicates that a feature can be used x times per long rest, but I can't figure out where to put that number when adding the option or modifier so that it shows up in the character sheet w/that box to mark off as used. I also didn't see an option to factor in half proficiency rounded down, only rounded up & half proficiency. Is that just something I should indicate in the description of a feature itself? Or can I build that into the feature?
Also is there a way to add a feature without a level requirement? It wouldn't let me save without specifying level 1 at minimum, but I was afraid that might not let me publish the subclass because of the required feature levels for each class.

Well, you could set it to have three different actions, 1 to track the use, 1 for the 5-foot damage aura, and a third for the 10-foot difficult terrain aura.

Hi there.
That’s neither an “Option,” nor a “Modifier.” That’s done by adding an “Action.” First create the action, and be sure to designate a “Reset Type” of Long Rest. Then [SAVE] your action. Then, edit that same action and all the way down the bottom you will see something called “Limited Uses,” hit [ADD LIMITED USE DATA], and you can do it there.
”Half Proficiency” is “Half Proficiency (rounded down).” Everything rounds down by default in 5e, only rounding up needs to be specified as that is an exception to the standard procedure.
No, but just use whatever level that class gets its subclass. If it’s a Wiz or something, use 2nd level. For most of the rest it would be 3rd level. Since the character won’t be able to use that feature until they take the subclass anyway, just use the level they get the subclass.
So I made a subclass for people to use the lycanthropy curse with some tweaks... but I can't share it with the community because "This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels." What does that mean exactly?
I seem to have made a Ranger Subclass, I don't want to publish it but I do want a character in my campaign to be able to choose it but it is not appearing in the drop down for them at level 3.
Hello, I am new to making sub classes the most I have done before was make some items for friends. I am getting an error
This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels.
If someone can take a look and let me know what i am missing or need to fix that would be awesome.

Evasion is just plain text.

Hello there,
I seem to have made a Ranger Subclass, I don't want to publish it but I do want a character in my campaign to be able to choose it but it is not appearing in the drop down for them at level 3.
I am sure I have followed all the instructions.
Did you add it to "My Homebrew Collection"?
