Didn't realize there was a check box for it in the creator. It is checked (I didn't check it though) and the content is showing in the character builder now, at least.
I'll check my item management to see if the items are appearing now.
Also, saw you made the Party Time wizard your pfp. CUTE!
For the book, took a look some things via content sharing. I liked the lore/design of the Geleton and Etherean. And overall nice to still see 5.0 design coming out. (Side note: while I didn't take a full look at the sublcasses I did notice the Warlock: The Tentacled's expanded spell list mixed and matched with 5.0 and 5.5 links. Where Black Tentacles and Telepathic Bond were listed as the 5.0 versions with the rest being 5.5 versions. Not sure how that affects people using it in the character builder, did want to let you know.)
I also will totally have to find a way to throw an ale elemental at my friends because one of the plays a perpetually drunk bullywug with a 50/50 chance he'd think its presence was an answered prayer from his god. I'll also have to check out those drunkeness rules for inspiration! :D
Hi every one im running a campaign tomorrow and I need help with what monster's to add in.
it is in a dungeon space and the characters are level 7: a halfling rouge, human sorcerer and barbarian based on HP
a note the sorcerer has polymorph and says they can turn into a cr 7 creature please tell me if this is wright and also this means a cr 7 boss is a no go.

Wrong thread mate, this is for discussing a new book being added, you'd be best off starting a brand new thread under Dungeon Masters Only
I'm noticing a superscript of 1 on a lot of spell and item names, but I cannot find any reference to a footnote or endnote that would tell me what that 1 means.
There is not, but I do know there's one for each base class.
EDIT: and each subclass has both a 2014 and 2024 version.
I would say that DnDB's coding for 5.5 can take subclasses from 5.0 and make them work. The book itself was deigned for 5.0, which is fine, as the change to 5.5 is easy enough for subclasses at least.
Any plans to add Book One? I want to buy this, but am supremely uneasy about buying any subsequent installment in a series without first purchasing the preceding volume(s). I don't think I'm an outlier in feeling that way.

It appears to have been a decision by Loot Tavern rather than DDB so you're best off contacting them. Either way it's a collection of magic items and drop in locations so it's not like we're missing a huge chunk of backstory or lore that means that Book 2 is useless by itself
ive encountered a bit of a problem with one of the new sub-classes from the book and i dont know if it was intended or not but according to the wording AND the functionality within D&D Beyond, the College of Mercantile Bard's *Magic Coin* ability does not receive a "to-hit" bonus from your proficiency bonus. it is strictly your Charisma bonus so the free "cantrip" as ive heard it called, at level 20 (and assuming 20 CHA) only has a +5 to hit compared to a normal cantrip having a +11.
id love to get some opinions on if anyone here would deal with it "rules-as-written", or homebrew it into a more conventional spell attack
for context to save some time its 1d12 Thunder +1 Bludgeoning (you're flinging an enchanted coin at a target) 2d12+1 @ Lvl 6 and 3d12+1 at Lvl 14 the coin returns after hitting or missing the target, on a natural 20, any non-magical coin used in the attack returns duplicated you can also use any coin worth at least 1cp as a spellcasting focus for your bard spells
Pros: so the spell does a lot in terms of utility, has respectable damage for what is comparable in use to a cantrip, and has a good damage type.
Cons: only benefits from Charisma bonus instead of full spellcasting modifier
Will the book be updated with the new items they create at some interval of time?
Probably not, if there's anything they've created since this was released I'd expect to see a Griffins Saddlebags Part 3 released rather than this one being added to
I'm not sure if this has been answered, but... are there plans to release Book One here or do I have to continue using the homebrew versions of those subclasses?
I feel like I wasted my money buying Book 2 without it.

Will the items be added as a source to pick from and will the monsters be available on the encounter builder?
What happened to Book One?

Asking the real question
but i said dooooooon't
nah, but really, they probably just wanted to focus on the newer book. that's my opinion, anyway; I have no definite answer for that one.

New question!
I'm noticing a superscript of 1 on a lot of spell and item names, but I cannot find any reference to a footnote or endnote that would tell me what that 1 means.
Anyone else find it in the book anywhere?
um ... ok not going to ask. ;p
Some good stuff btw for a DM like me, but I'm saddened that it's 5.0 and not 5.5 ready.

That's actually awesome.

Has anyone done any written reviews? I am wary about 3rd party content but some abilities seem cool. Need the math experts to tear it apart though.

You’d have to ask Griffon’s Saddlebag if you want to know what their plans are, but I don’t think anything has been announced.
The first book isn’t needed in order to use anything in the second book.
Need help with D&D Beyond? Come ask in the official D&D server on Discord: https://discord.gg/qWzGhwBjYr
I inquired directly with the The Griffon's Saddlebag folks and they said the release of Book One on DDB will be "Hopefully this year!".
