So my Protector Aasimar artificer/warlock has an acquired template from the monstrous races book on DMsGuild. He is a lvl 1 revenant, meaning he came back with the 0 level template then dipped one level further in for a few more features. I need to figure out how to create a custom race that combines the lvl 1 revenant and the aasimar so that I can build the character in D&D Beyond. The main thing I am having difficulty with is the added hit dice.
Sorry, not ignoring your post on purpose, but I have no experience with the monstrous races book you reference, so it's difficult to advise how to proceed.
It sounds like it's something that you've spent levels on?
If so, it's effectively a full-blown class and unfortunately D&D Beyond doesn't support homebrew classes yet.
Yeah, the stuff you're talking about sounds like it's mixing racial features with class mechanics (you mention hit dice, which are class based). This is not something DDB currently supports
A work around could be manual hp entry of that's the only problem, not sure the best way to track the extra die for short rest use. Is there a custom homebrew feat solution maybe?
