I have looked at it before but they really need some tutorials. A lot of it is easy to use but when I ran into something I did not know how to do it would have been nice to have some help. I think if I had never used any editing tools before it would have been really confusing. I like the simple maps way better than the 3D trend that you see in advertising.
Much obliged for attempting to get us all set up to manage isolate. Does anybody here realize how to set up a web based game with a common guide? I played on inkarnate and roll20, and inkarnate allows you to configuration maps however no common table top to play on it with.. Roll20 I surmise has a common 'tabletop' or the like, yet I don't see at any rate to stack up a guide into it. I see a part for 'game addons' which says it allows you to transfer custom guides, however I don't really see at any rate to do as such.
TLDR: consider adding the Chrome browser extension AboveVTT to your options for ways to play D&D online!
I know that D&D Beyond players are constantly trying to decide how to make the most of DDB while using a VTT... there's been a lot of great mentions in this post so far - going into the pandemic really helped push VTT devs into high gear, it seems! This is great for players of all types, bc options are good to have, but it also means one thing that makes me, personally, very sad: it pulls me away from D&D Beyond.
For various reasons, I don't handle clutter and chaos very well. So when I'm playing online, I usually need to streamline every interface as much as possible (there's enough clutter and chaos in game to begin with!!). For me, that means trying to stay within D&D Beyond / on D&D Beyond in my browser as much as possible. To that end, I've recently found - and have been ecstatically using - AboveVTT.
AboveVTT is a chrome extension that creates a VTT interface right here, integrated your D&D Beyond content. If you can use Chrome browser extensions, I would highly suggest giving it a look. Personally, I have been so happy to pull up a character sheet, click a VTT button, and be playing within seconds - using the D&D Beyond website, and only the D&D Beyond website. (video chat using [app I cant remember] is integrated with the VTT).
I dunno if AboveVTT can be added to the resource list, but I thought it ought to at least be mentioned in the thread for any DDB players who haven't heard of it yet.
I just found this tool and am absolutely in love. It is everything I ever wanted in a VTT. Also I use this in Opera browser with no issues at all. It is so simple to use as a dm. All of my tools, on one screen!
As a bonus, since it uses the game log, I have players, without desktops, that can watch the stream of the player view and play from their phone for all of their rolls!
I am actually having a difficult time since I am new to this. Nevertheless, I will definitely have this saved for future references. It is also a great thing that you included videos that I can watch tbh.. thank youu...
Wow, all of this is really helpful! We've just moved online due to covid lockdowns and We've been playing in Roll20, using the beyond20 extension on dnd beyond to pull our rolls across, but AboveVTT looks like an interesting alternative!
Above VTT is awesome, as program... esthetic wise, it sucks badly... its grey... too grey... like windows basic grey... but as a VTT its an awesome thing.

By and by what I truly need is a VTT apparatus that functions admirably on portable. Roll20 is horrible for it, and honestly so are different choices. The present moment I'm trying different things with 5e EncounterPlus application, however it's $6 to have the option to import guides and utilize every one of the components. I wouldn't fret paying for something on the off chance that it works yet this moment I'm leary as the wide range of various choices I've attempted don't cut it and I would prefer not to squander cash on something that can't convey.

i've been playing Astral Tabletop on my elite pad for quite some times now... it works great for tablet. really. you couls also try Owlbear.rodeo, its very basic yet its the minimalistic side that makes it work on tablet and phones.
as far as i am concerned... foundryVTT as an addons that someone developped to make it uses tablet touch screens and we tryed it, its abit janky but it worked on my tablet. i was able to countrol Foundry from within my tablet without a mouse. but it required the addon which isn't top notch for now. there are small quirks still.
but i agree, i'm at a point where i might just develop my own instead. but yeah...
FoundryVTT + touchpad addons still works. Astral Tabletop works to a certain point but right clicking doesn't work with touchpad, they didn't add that. Owlbear.Rodeo works like a charm, but lacks many features since its design to be minimalistic.
thats all i can recommend you.

FoundryVTT has worked best for my group and seems to be great for homebrew content. There is Foundry Hub for premade content if you want to go that rout. I hope that Foundry can workout a licensing deal with WoTC, or maybe DDB will buy Foundry :)
So helpful! I'm planning on starting a Campaign using Discord to play with some friends who are far away and/or out of state (and because, ya know, pandemic) so this is really great. Thank you!

Thankful for endeavoring to motivate every one of us set up to oversee detach. Does anyone here acknowledge how to set up an electronic game with a typical aide? I played on inkarnate and roll20, and inkarnate permits you to setup maps anyway no normal table top to play on it with.. Roll20 I derive has a typical 'tabletop' or something like that, yet I see at no rate to pile up an aide into it. I see a section for 'game addons' which says it permits you to move custom aides, but I truly see at no rate to do in that capacity.

I don’t know what you mean by “typical aide” or “custom aide.” Can you explain this more fully?
If you are finding Roll20 complicated, you might want to try owlbear.rodeo. It is free, simple to use, and there are YouTube videos explaining how to use it.
if we have been buying individual books but then all of sudden want to buy the full collection ( tax returns) do we buy the some of the books again or is it going to discount the package?
Just like if you buy a "piece" of a book (like a subclass, race, or magic item) gets credited toward the price of the book, ownership of D&D Beyond Books gets credited to the price of bundles. If you already own D&D Beyond published content, the prices you see in the Marketplace reflect adjustments factoring in your current purchases.

If the "it" you looked at before was owlbear rodeo, there are some tutorials. Sly Flourish has a nice overview here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3-QWlnDSCg

Can we post links here to VTT similar to Roll20?
Nugz - Kobold Level 4 Bloodhunter/Order of the Mutant - Out there looking for snacks and evil monsters.
Ultrix Schwarzdorn - Human Level 6 Artificer/Armorer - Retired and works in his new shop.
Quercus Espenkiel - Gnome Level 9 Wizard/Order of Scribes - Turned into a book and sits on a shelf.
Artin - Fairy Level 4 Sorcerer/Wild Magic - Busy with annoying the townsfolk. Again.
Jabor - Fire Genasi - Level 4 Wizard/School of Evocation - The First Flame, The Last Chaos. Probably in jail, again.
