Quick question. Is there anyway to see the archived content? I have a level 4 blood hunter under the old rule set and I am trying to work out whether or not I want to migrate to the new version. My DM is willing to let me switch or stay. So I just want to see exactly where everything changed so I can make an educated choice.
Thanks.
Assuming you have your character on the Character Builder of DnD Beyond you can go to Edit your character and then the 2.Class tab, and from there you can click on the Available at Higher Levels drop down and it shows up there.
For future reference, both versions of the class are also pay-what-you-want now on DMsGuild, so you can also view both of them (even side by side) by downloading them from there.
oop, I don't know how I messed up replying to a someone but here I am lol.
The issue was not being able to pick a subclass at level 3 when on an archived Blood Hunter.
Ah, okay. For future reference, if you click "reply" below a particular message, I think the system notifies the author of that message, but otherwise, there's no visual indicator to other readers what you're replying to. Thus, it's helpful to quote the message you're replying to (or at least to restate the problem in your own message).
Hey, seems like the blood hunter class is not working fully - in order of the profane soul when you select your patron it doesn't show you in character creation what the patrons give you. Any idea when this will be fixed? Currently you have to go to character sheet and view the abilities there, which is pretty inconvenient.
Due to the way that the Order of the Profane Soul subclass is designed, the selection of an Otherworldly Patron doesn't give you anything, so the character sheet is correct.
The Order of the Profane Soul has a number of other features that vary what they do, based upon the Otherworldly Patron that was chosen.
Please reference this page for a full understanding of the features:
Sorry, to be clear, in the character builder it does not display any of the effects of those choices.
As an example: If you pick the profane soul undying patron in Pact Magic, you gain this ability "Whenever you reduce a hostile creature to 0 hit points using a weapon attack, you regain a number of hit points equal to one roll of your hemocraft die." as your Rite focus, also at level three. This ability is not displayed anywhere in the character builder, yet when you go to the character sheet at the end, it now does show the effect of your rite focus. Right now the rite focus does not show any effects even after having picked a patron in the Pact Magic section.
Are you saying this lack of functionality is intended?
To be fair, totally understand if it's a limitation of the system - But it seems like you misunderstood me. The information should be in the character builder because right now you pick a patron and receive no information in the whole character builder as to what the patron does for you. Seems like it would be pretty strange to not have it at least tell you what ability you have chosen.
The Otherworldly Patron feature doesn't actually grant any bonuses itself is, so you won't see anything displayed there, other than the patron chosen.
It's the other features, such as Rite Focus that grant bonuses based on the patron chosen. With the way that the features are set-up, there isn't really a way to display the relevant bonuses for features like Rite Focus.
I think I may have come up with a way to be able to at least provide some information on that though. I'll take a look in the morning.

I would think, if nothing else, including an expanded text field in the builder would be the simplest resolution. As long as there's some kind of short summary (like a bullet-point list) of what the choice of Patron does/will do, that ought to suffice for someone still making decisions at creation/level up.

I REALLY LOVE that The Order Of The Lycan in the character creator has a drop-box toggle for switching between normal and hybrid forms. Would love if there could be more implementations of this where possible (Barbarian Rage as an example)
Will we be getting a "quick-switch" toggle in the character sheet itself?
I have tried creating an magic item which adds the various bonuses when equipped, but since you can't add actions, the seperate damage type claw attacks (for STR or DEX) can't be correctly added on equip.

I’m having the same issue.
...The same issue as whom? Which issue?

Quick toggle for order of the mutant's Potency & Sagacity (etc) formulas would be topknotch, too.
Will it be possible to get a Blood Hunter class forum, like the other classes?
Technically it isn't an official class, but i'd totally be down with that.
Blood hunters are cool.
Just wondering,
Under the order of the Lycan, is Bloodlust and Brand of the Voracious suppose to be a Wisdom saving throw still?
or is it suppose to be Intelligence saving throw?
Don't recall hearing about this in the Dev video.
