Welcome to the Support thread for the Extra Life Adventure: Locathah Rising
If you find any issues/bugs with Locathah Rising, please post in this thread.
Locathah Rising is a story about what happens when a normally peaceful species is pushed to the point of open conflict. As elemental forces threaten the safety of the nearby locathah communities, heroes rise from among their numbers to strike back and defend their homes and families.
I suppose less of a bug and more of a question about missing content...
Similar to the lack of readily available premade characters in Lost Mine of Phandelver on D&D Beyond, Locathah Rising has a blurb about characters included with the adventure:
Whether you’re playing with the pregenerated characters or your players have created locathah heroes of their own ...
Yet without owning the adventure elsewhere, the content of those pregens is a mystery. It'd be great to be able to at least view the required information that would allow these characters to be built, I certainly don't mind making them myself. Even just a simple page with each character's basic info (stats, equipment, class, alignment, personality traits, backstory, etc.) would suffice. Is this possible?
(I know the LMoP missing content has led to some forum posts where people with the physical adventure have given detailed instructions on building the pregens.)
The adventure is not yet available on the mobile app, but should be coming within the next few weeks. We'll be sure to make an announcement on our socials when that happens!

Gotcha. That said, a link to the adventure is still missing in the mobile version of the site. What's the story there?

Hey there -
Apologies for the late response, but this issue should now be fixed and the link should show up on mobile.
Not necessarily, no. D&D Beyond takes all of the content and converts it into navigable web page form, rather than presenting it simply as the PDF. You lose the exact formatting of the original publication but gain a number of other useful things, like the ability to easily read on mobile or any browser page size, hyperlinked content or on-hover tooltips, and relatively fast navigation between sections. It's just that, in the specific cases of adventures that come with pre-generated characters — Locathah Rising, Lost Mine of Phandelver, and Hunt for the Thessalhydra, if I'm not forgetting anything — there's not yet a way for DDB to include actual character sheets for use, yet...
This thread regarding HftT pregens reminds us that this feature is supposed to be implemented at some point (as I'm pretty certain I'd heard that once or twice already on the dev streams):
DDB currently doesn't have a means to copy character sheets from one user to another. Without this framework, they have no way of providing access to pre-gens; it's the same for the starter kit.
Intra-user copying is coming, and with it will come access to pregen characters.
I was mostly just curious in the meantime whether the basic information for the pregenerated locathah character information could be laid out for owners of the adventure here. There's already a full thread of people who laid out how to build the included characters in LMoP on DDB (and the Starter Set characters are provided freely on the WotC website already). But as far as I'm aware, nobody has yet to release the information for LR or HftT pregens, and in the absence of future character sheet copying, it would be nice to have access to the information required to build the characters oneself!
Halfwing is correct - once we have the ability to allow characters to be copied, we'll be able to build out pregen characters for all of these adventures and allow you to copy them to your own character collections. I'm super-excited for this!
Unfortunately, in the meantime, we don't really have a reasonable format for presenting the pre-gen characters. I'll have another look though, to see if there's something we can come up with.
In Locathah Rising, it says it has suggestions on how to modify encounters depending on number of players, but these suggestions are nowhere to be found on here.

In Rrakkma, you had a special Pre Gen Character section for the adventure where you can view the character sheet and print them out. I would be happy if we can do the same with this adventure as well!

How about using an NPC Statblock? I would be happy to recreate them into normal characters manually if needed, but can't really do it without having the information - and Extra Life or not, buying the content again on DMSGuild just for the pregens is not something I can justify in my budget, and just leaves me with the feeling of "I should have bought it on DMSguild instead..."

I will pass this feedback on to the relevant team.

I am not seeing the adventure appear as a resource in the mobile app or on the mobile site. It does appear in the desktop version of the site though.
Same issue for me... the adventure isn't in the app.

So the pregenerated characters do not come with the purchased adventure on DnD Beyond?
According to Timer67, that question was being passed along to the relevant team. No word yet on whether or not they will be made available.
If not...where ARE they available?
In the actual Locathah Rising PDF, sold on DMs Guild.
Ah...new to the online buys. Does DMs guild merch often come w more content than buying through DnD Beyond?

Uh, how about someone send me a .pdf?
In Locathah Rising, it says it has suggestions on how to modify encounters depending on number of players, but these suggestions are nowhere to be found on here.
The suggestions are given here:
