I want to, *ahem* "borrow" the behavior and damage of breath Weapon from the Draconic races UA for my own Dragonborn variation, but I don't know how do do that while still having the damage type and aoe shape be linked to the Draconic Ancestry table. Anyone know If this is possible and if so, how?
The table is irrelevant, you don’t even need a table. (It’s just cosmetic.) You need to create a trait with a list of “options” (like the ancestry options). Then, create a second trait with the same number of “options” (for the breath weapons) and set them as “granted” options, and have each one refer to one of the options from the first trait as the “prerequisite.”Then, create a third trait with the same number of “options” (for the resistances) and set them as “granted” options, having each one refer to one of the options from the first trait as the “prerequisite.”
That way, whatever “ancestry” (or whatever) the player chooses will automatically determine the breath weapon and resistance as well.
Thanks for the input, I actually didn't know you could use other races as templates since I've never clicked on the create a race button. I've always tried to use the subrace path since the website outright says you can use it to make variants, which frankly is an outright lie that checkbox does NOTHING.
I’m not sure what you mean. I make races with either sub or variant races no problem. Remember, Subraces add traitd to the parent race, Bariants replace base race traits. But you can’t make a variant for a Subrace, and you can’t make a subrace for a variant race. (Not that I know of anyway.)

I explained options more thoroughly here:

With additional commentary and troubleshooting here:
https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/68126-subclass-options-not-working
(I explained it with subclass features, but racial traits are functionally identical.)
You can also make a race using the OG Dragonborn as a Template to see how it was done if you need the visual aid. (It was done the way I described.)
I hope that helps.
