Hey everyone just need abit of help here, so in one of my players backstories (he's a Goliath Barbarian) the leader of his herd carries a flaming greatsword, its like the sigil of leadership within the heard except this guy is like straight up chaotic evil then i thought what if it was because of the sword soooo i thought sentient sword that grows as he grows so how would i go about making it in dndbeyond or is it more something ill just have too note down and just update him as and when.
The simplest thing would be to give home a homebrewed sword of yours and then whenever the sword grows you would add to it and then save it and his will automatically get the update next time he loads his sheet. (If you save something at the beginning of the season, then later on you can even tell him to refresh his sheet and he’ll get the update “almost like Magic.” 😉 (One of my players eats that up.)
Also, anything you put into a spoiler in the description of a Magic item will be invisible to the player since the spoiler will be invisible on their sheet. So you can stick info in the spoiler and then just incrementally move it out of the spoiler as the PC learns about it.
