I am creating a homebrew shield that can be thrown, similar to the "Captain America" shield but it doesn't always come back. Because it is capable of being thrown, I wanted to reduce the AC bonus from +2 to +1. How do I put that in D&D Beyond? I have tried the "set - armor class" with fixed value of -1 and 1, as well as "set - minimum base armor" with fixed value of 1 and -1. How can I get it to show a +1 to AC instead of the standard +2?
I also wanted to add the "thrown weapon property" and "light weapon property" while also adding the "ranged weapon attack" and nothing I try is working to allow the player to throw it. Maybe I'm just missing something but I am sure this can be done somehow.
Please help :)

Actions cannot be added to magic items. You would have to start with something like a light hammer, and adding a +1 bonus to AC and call it a shield.

Try modifier Bonus - Armor Class fixed value: -1
Shields can't be assigned weapon properties.

Well, technically it is possible to add them, it just won’t do any gud.
