this is my first attempt at making a Sorcerer descended from Giants. I left out the flavor text and just focused on what the different level of abilities will do. Let me know your thoughts:
Giant Origin:
1st: Giants Strength: you gain proficiency on Strength saving throws, advantage on Strength Checks, and double your carrying capacity.
1st: Giant’s Throw: When making a spell attack you may use your Strength modifier instead of your Charisma modifier. When you Deal damage with your 1st lvl or higher spells the targets are pushed back 10ft
6th: Giant’s Smash: When you Deal damage with a spell of 1st level or higher spell you may spend a Sorcery point to knock your targets prone. The targets must succeed a Strength saving throw equal to your spell DC or they are knocked prone
14th: Giant’s Skin: gain resistance to spell damage.
18th: Giant’s Wrath: damage from your spells gains a bonus equal to your Strength + Charisma modifier

Interesting, but why do I, a sorcerer, want to use Strength instead of Charisma for my spell attacks when I can't do so for my spell save DC?
Also, you do realize that the race that gets the best bonuses for this subclass is dragonborn, right? And that, in official lore, giants and dragons have been feuding/warring for millennia?

True, it’s thematic, but not very practical. I’ll change it to just add Strength mod to damage instead.
Funny, but true. Fallen Aasimar is another really good choice for this class too. Sadly I don’t think there’s a way around it, Dragons and Giant’s are both massive creatures with enormous Strengths. Maybe I’ll design a Half giant race, give it Sub races for frost, fire, etc. and one of those can have the same modifiers as a Dragonborn.
Mike Mearls' most recent Happy Fun Hour spent most of it designing a Sorcerer subclass based upon giants, so might be worth taking a look at!
Interesting, I do like the idea of making the different types of Giant’s a bit different. I’d definitely go a different route though as stone giant being able to get +27 AC at 20 level is just absurd lol. I do like the additional spells though.
i actually thought about size increases for mine, but it became one of those things where I looked at it and realized as a Sorcerer there’s no point. You’re not gonna be charging into Melee when you have 5th lvl and higher spells, not with that hit die.

Not half bad; the only real suggestion I have is for Giant's Throw, consider having it be that your strength modifer is added to damage rolls.
