Monk. pretty much all of them. Rogue. Same, most if not all would work. Fighters/Barbarians are pretty similar for less stealthy ninjas that have more muscle. Pretty much any spell caster that works more on Nin/Genjutsu over TaiJutsu.
You can pretty much flavor anything really to work in the setting though.
You'd really need to go character-by-character. Guy, Kakashi, and Shikamaru all fight very differently. Naruto's world probably touches on pretty much every archetype D&D covers.
Im a big believer (lol) that your Stereotypical-Anime-Protagonist (TM) will fit really well with bladesinger wizard. Just rename all of your spells as a special attack and boom, you are all set.
The thing about ninjas in the Narutoverse is that they really arent focused on things like stealth or hand-to-hand combat to the same degree as rogues or monks in 5e. They are really defined by their use of jutsu, which feel like spells. That being said, like scatterbraind pointed out, you will want to consider this on a case-by-case basis.
If you want a focus on Taijutsu - Monk or Barbarian
If you want a focus on Ninjutsu - Bladesinger Wizard or Eldritch Knight Fighter
If you want a focus on Genjutsu - Illusion/Enchantment Wizard or Arcane Trickster Rogue
First of all, I am massively jealous of you and I hope you have the time of your life in that campaign.
A Swords bard or Bladesinger wizard will get you martial ability and spell slots you can flavor as ninjutsu. I recommend looking at Soulknife rogue if you wanna throw magic shuriken all the time and be pretty taijutsu-focused. Four Elements monks cover basic elemental jutsu/chakra natures, though you'll be limited by how many ki points you have - not ideal if you wanna have more ninjutsu. For a genjutsu user, an Abberrant Mind sorcerer could even work if you work the stats to be viable in melee.
A friend is starting a Naruto based game mix wondering which of the subclass write ups people think would work best?
