Inspired by the fighting in movies like John Wick or The Raid, I wanted to come up with a subclass that specializes in grappling with enemies, throwing them off balance, and then using their weapons against them. Rogue felt like the best fit on account of that deadly follow-up and the smaller hit die than a full martial class.
I think this is a difficult subclass to work around a rogue, as rogues do not fare well in protracted bouts of close combat. By grappling an enemy, you're reducing the rogue's mobility and making them vulnerable to counterattack.

This is true. This subclass in idea, would work better with a fighter or barbarian i think
New to forums, is this the right place to ask for feedback? I've never homebrewed before either so I'm trying to make sure this isn't gamebreaking.

Subversive strikes: I would give the player the option too choose between a sneak attack or a subversive strike rather than lose the 2d6 damage. \
Fatal errors: What level ability is this? no sneak attacks as that would be too strong for this ability
Chained attack: looks good
opportunist: Now i think the reduction in damage is appropriate
Up close and personal: looks good
All in all i think this would be a great subclass with a few changes to it. Good job

Really cool concept! I like the idea of sacrificing sneak attack damage to have different effects!
