"Voting will start Wednesday June 7th (or thereabouts, once the survey is made) and will end at midnight (EST) on Saturday June 17th. A Google Forms poll for each category will be posted on this thread, and all may vote on it - including and especially contestants. Contestants are encouraged to vote 5 and 5 on their own submissions; all scores will have 5 subtracted from both voting categories. Scores are assigned using a numerical value from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent). ,"
I may just be being dumb but does this basically say that contestants are allowed to vote on there own as a ranking of 5
Not “allowed to,” encouraged to. It was either that or use the honor system and trust everyone to not vote for themselves at all. But that kinda spoils the anonymity of the voting since it would be obvious whose survey was whose, so I went with this idea instead. It’s basically up to whoever is running the contest exactly how the rules will work each time within certain limitations. Whoever wins this contest (#XV) will run the next one (#XVI), and they might decide to go back to the honor system again for that one. 🤷♂️
Ok I'm confused so is it you may leave a rating on any homebrew or only one not including your own
You vote on every homebrew you wish to vote on, and give yourself 5&5 too.
If I were to make basically a living dungeon, and there were homebrew monsters in it, would the monsters be judged too?
As part of the dungeon? I assume so.
It'll just be a huge stone wolf with the basilisks gaze ability, more hit points, resistance to non-magical attacks, immune to poison, and condition immunity to charmed, deafened, frightened, petrified, and poisoned. This is basically the only homebrew monster.

Hidden away in the largest jungle, an inactive Ruin Guardian protects what appears to be a wall of stone. When you arrive, you shall hear a voice asking for three items, which you got from earlier expeditions.
This voice shall describe these objects with 3 riddles
1. He who has none is liable to fall, But having no need is happiest of all (Answer: Weapon)
2. In the new year, I dance for a crowd,. I breathe the greatest invention, and greatest destruction. (Answer: Dragon)
3. I make the sharpest knives, but do not last. I am molten rock, but am hard. What am I (Answer: Obsidian)
If you put the correct items, a hunters spear, a red dragon scale, and a shard of obsidian, in front of the statue, the wall shall move away, revealing a temple hidden in the ground. If you make one mistake, the Ruin Guardian awakens and attempts to kill you.
The insides of this temple are always shifting, as to disrupt thieves who may have gotten in. For this reason, the temple has no map, but a random encounter table. Grab a D6 and roll it. Then look at the table and see what you must face.
1. The walls, roof, or floor suddenly move. Make a DC 15 Dex Save. On a failure, the sudden shift knocks you down and you fall prone. On a success, nothing happens and you may move on.
2. You come across a long hallway. If you wish to cross it, make a DC 18 Dexterity check. On a failure, you accidentally step on a trigger, causing the walls to suddenly try to squish you. Make a DC 18 Str Save. On a fail, take 3d10 bludgeoning damage. On a success, you successfully stop the walls and you may move on.
3. You come across a room with 4 beds and a single statue. This is a sleeping Stone Golem. There are no exits. Every minute you stay in this room, roll a d4. If you land on a 1, the Golem awakens and attacks you. If you defeat it, you'll find a passage where it was standing a moment ago. Enter this passage to move on.
4. A wall moves and reveals 5 Pseudodragon behind it. As soon as they see you, they attack. Defeat them to move on.
5. You walk into what seems to be a large colosseum. In the center seems to be a table with a closed book. If you open this book, a monster from the Monster Manual hops out and attacks you. Which monster is your choice.
6. This is the reason why you came here. A 30 by 30 foot room decorated with glowing purple, white, and red crystals. Three stone busts line one wall. From left to right, a coiled up snake, a wolfs head, and five dragon heads tied together. In the center of the room is a pedestal, and if you put your hand to it, the busts come to life. They ask why you wish to speak to the gods. Answer carefully, for if you say 'I have a question for them', the snake will reach out and bite you, dealing 10d6 poison damage. If you answer 'I must warn them of a great danger', the 5 dragon heads breathe fire on you, dealing 10d6 fire damage. If you answer 'I wish to know their great wisdom', the wolf head will nod. You then fall under the effects of Astral Projection and you may speak to a god of your choosing.
*This is supposed to look like a living dungeon. If it doesn't, I am sorry.*
I keep drawing blanks for the Inspirational options. Hopefully next one I'll get struck by inspiration!
So do I. The only thing that comes to mind is quicksand.
Oh, I have at least a half a dozen ideas for this one. I mean, c’mon, just about anything thelasic is potentially on the table. Too bad I couldn’t compete in this one, I wish I coulda specifically for this category this time. My problem would’ve been just picking one thing.

Here’s my last-minute Interactive submission, an NPC: the Old Man of the Sea!
The Old Man of the Sea
On a cloudy day while the party is on a beach, whether relaxing on the sandy shores of Nicodranas or stranded on the stony ground of a deserted island, they may see a scrawny, bearded old man dressed in ragged clothe sitting on a rock that juts from the sea, speaking in Sylvan to a pod of seals floating in the waters around him.
The Old Man is an ancient, mythical being. For the purposes of detection magic, he is a fey. With a successful DC 18 History or Religion check, a character can recall that he is mentioned as a belligerent but reliable seer in numerous stories.
If approached, the seals flee and the Old Man becomes irritated, citing the loss of good company.
If the party decides he might know something valuable, the Old Man stubbornly refuses to give them anything unless they accomplish a task for him. This task might be anything from slaying a hydra to curing a seal pup’s illness, but if the party does this task, he will still not give them information, instead requiring them to do yet another task.
This will continue until the party becomes frustrated enough to confront the Old Man. He openly admits that he has been messing with them, but refuses still to give information.
For the purposes of attacks, spells, or effects, the Old Man is immune to all damage and conditions (other than grappled), doesn’t require food, drink, air, or sleep, and automatically saves on saving throws. In human form, his Dexterity is 20, giving him a +5 modifier to Acrobatics checks. He can also use his action to shapeshift into a poisonous snake, a water weird, a lion, a vine blight, or back into his human shape. He retains his immunities, personality, ability to speak and shapeshift, as well as his memories, while shapeshifted.
The Old Man, while stubborn, will cede information if a creature of chaotic neutral alignment or with a close connection to the goddess of the sea succeeds on a DC 18 Persuasion check, or if he becomes grappled by any creature for three consecutive rounds.
In terms of information, the Old Man of the Sea knows all important historical and religious information of the Material Plane from the past, and can see everywhere untamed bodies of water exist. He can see up to 5 years in the future in relation to a specific creature or object he can see in the present. The Old Man requires a 10-minute ritual to receive and recite this information.
Roleplaying the Old Man of the Sea
The Old Man’s voice is that of an elderly, cranky sailor. If possible, his accent should be Greek.
Personality Traits.
I find animals more pleasant than people.
I cannot help but frustrate people I don’t like, and I find joy in unraveling others’ philosophies.
Ideal.
Chaos is the natural state of the world, and of me: I bend the knee to no one.
Bonds.
The goddess of the sea is very important to me. I might be more merciful to those she trusts personally.
Flaws.
Irritating the “civilized” is in my nature. Even if the world is at stake, I cannot resist making things difficult for them.
As a disclaimer, this is based on Proteus from Greek mythology.
I keep drawing blanks for the Inspirational options. Hopefully next one I'll get struck by inspiration!
So do I. The only thing that comes to mind is quicksand.
Yeah I considered something like this, but it would be some sort of monter or monsters that live under the sand and pull people under. I can't remember the name of the movie the idea is based on.

Amphibious. Sebastian the crab can breathe air and water.
Friend of the Sea. Sebastian the crab can communicate simple ideas with any beast that has an innate swimming speed.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack:+0 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 bludgeoning damage.
Bonus Actions
Duck, Dive, and Run Away. Sebastian the crab can take the Dash, Disengage, Dodge or Hide action.

Reactions
Scarper. Sebastian the crab adds 2 to his AC against one melee attack that would hit him, and he moves 5 feet. To do so, he must see the attacker.
Description
Sebastian the crab speaks with an island accent, and loves calypso and reggae music. He gives good advice and is a great friend in a crisis. He can play any instrument in the orchestra, but would rather be leading it. And as a singer he could be the soloist. Personality:
Traits: “My eloquent flattery makes everyone I talk to feel like the most wonderful and important person in the world.” & “My word is my bond. Without loyalty, oaths and laws are meaningless.” Ideal: (Responsibility) “It is my duty to respect the authority of those above me, just as those below me must respect mine.“ Bond: “I am loyal to my king to a fault… and a little afraid of him too.” Flaw: “I can’t not help a friend in trouble, no matter what it costs me.”
