So recently I had the Idea of creating a Humanoid Ooze like creature based on a Ghuanadan. As an Ooze I thought it might be interesting if this Race had Blindsight.
Now I know blindsight alters everything. You are extremely powerful within that range of sight but vulnerable to everything outside. You would of course have to properly roleplay that and not metagame every combat but that's not what this is about. This brings up the question how far this blindsight should go.
I would say 30 or even up to 60 ft but that may be a little much. On the other hand you could nerf that specific blindsight and give it restrictions normal blindsight doesn't have to justify increased range.
Just because a creature has blindsight, they aren’t necessarily blind beyond that range. You could give blindsight to 10 ft., and have it increase to 15 ft at 5th level, and they could still have regular vision beyond that range.

Please give me some of your thoughts.
15 ft. Blindsight which scales to 30 at 10th/15th-level
