Hi all! Wanted to submit a question concerning my process of building a Homebrew Weapon that allows for a specific action.
For context: I'm DMing for a few newbies that want to use dndbeyond, Iand want to make sure their actions are laid out perfectly; however, one of them asked for a weapon that could do something very specific on their action every short rest. Seeing as I can't add a separate action to the homebrew weapon directly, I thought the easy workaround would be to create a feat that would be attached to the weapon itself.
While it may just be a timing issue (sometimes dndbeyond homebrew takes time to load), I wanted to know whether anyone has run into similar issues with trying to add a homebrew feat to a homebrew weapon. Tried to do a quick search on the forums but came up empty. Worse case scenario, I'll just add the feat to grant them the new action. Thanks!
