Hello! I was hoping to create a magic item that grants the attuned wearer the ability to cast Eldritch Blast, and also gives the wearer the five Warlock Invocations that affect EB: Agonizing Blast, Eldritch Spear, Grasp of Hadar, Lance of Lethargy, and Repelling Blast. I was going to call it the Blasting Cap. Can someone either explain how to do it, or create it so I can add it to my collection? I couldn't figure it out.
Thanks!
I don’t believe there is a way to do the invocation part of that.
How do you get a piece of armor to add the full dex modifier? No matter what I do, it will not adapt when I equip it. I tried the base item option to have max modifier, I have tried adding a modifier to add full dex mod, I have even tried various other armors, all of them do not translate over.
Are you setting it in the first screen or in the modifiers? I've not had any luck using the thing on the main screen, but in the modifiers I'm sure it has worked
So I have a lot of homebrew I've made and also using from others for my NPCs. Problem is that my players, even with homebrew turned off, has complete access to all of the homebrew?
With homebrew turned off, all my players can still take homebrew spells and etc.
How can I keep homebrew for my NPCs but make sure my players DONT have access to those homebrew goodies? I only want them to have access to homebrew if the homebrew option is toggled...
Are you sure the homebrew option is toggled off (greyed out, to the left) and not on (red, to the right)?
Homebrew being off should remove most things. But there are some instances when choosing spells for feats or such where homebrew appears even if homebrew is turned off. Devs have been aware of this for about 2 years or so now.

As Cyb3r pointed out, spells can sneak through in some circumstances. (I just figured it was best to rule out the simple answer first.) What you can do is, after adding those spells to your NPCs, then remove them from Your Homebrew Collection. Those NPCs will retain the spells, but your players will no longer have access to them. If need be you can always add them back to your collection temporarily and then remove them again as often as necessary.

This sounds like a great solution to me, will start doing that now and then moving forward with new NPCs. Thank you for the help, always appreciate that!

hmm that did not seem to work. I am a halfling already. I did finally get it to work by doing tiny but my other charter was able to do it and stay small
I am working on creating a weapon that will have bonus damage based of the characters level. Much like the Assimar protectors radiant souls damage. In fact that is what I basing the homebrew off of.
Example damage would be 1d10 + (Char lvl)Radiant damage. A level 3 character would be +3 radiant damage vs a level 8 would be +8 radiant damage.

Unfortunately I don’t think there’s a way to scale magic item damage with player level.

You are correct, there is not.
Is there a way to create a Feat or Spell that has this ability, and give the weapon the ability to use this Feat or Spell at will?
I don’t believe there is a way to do the invocation part of that.

I have done it all three ways. None have worked.

Yes, it was my thought at first too so I went into their character sheets myself to double check.
Even with homebrew greyed out, homebrew spells are still showing up when they level and get to pick spells
But thank you for the suggestion

No. You cannot do it with a spell and there’s no way to attach a homebrewed feat to a magic item.
