Thank you all, I have just decided to use 1d4 for the damage.
Maybe you could give the weapon either the Sword Burst cantrip or the Word of Radiance cantrip? They wouldn't achieve exactly the same results as what you're looking for, but they might be fun.
do you know another way to decrease or set weight without changing the size? there must be a way because I made an item that did it but I accidentally deleted it.
Also, setting the carrying capacity to “Small” (or “Tiny”) doesn’t actually change the creature’s size, just their carrying capacity. The Size Modifier is what changes the creature’s actual size.

Small creatures have the same carrying capacity as Medium. You'd have to go Tiny to decrease it.
I am working on a homebrew paladin sub class and want his Channel Divinity to scale with him but can't get it to work. I would like to have a 2d6+ Paladin level damage roll. I can get the 2d6 to show up but cannot seem to get the paladin level to scale with the character leveling up without having to manually change it what am I missing or doing wrong ?

You have to manually add a level scale override for each Paladin level 4-20, so the base 3rd level CD would do 2d6+3, and the first level scale (4th level) would do 2d6+4, and the final level scale for 20th level would do 2d6+20.
Again, after creating the initial Action that displays the base 2d6+3 damage at 3rd level, then you must edit that action to add the level overrides. The first level override for 4th level would be set to 4th level and do 2d6+4 damage, and the 17th level override you have to create (for 20th level) would do 2d6+20 damage. Like this:
Set up the Action being sure to fill out all of the following fields:
I didn’t know what activation type to use, so I left it blank, but you must select one. You should also select a damage type and fill out the range and whatever else too. Is this supposed to be an attack with an attack roll, or force a saving throw? That will also affect some things.
After you Save the Action you must edit it and you will see this at the bottom:
Click the [ADD A LEVEL OVERRIDE] button and add 17 level overrides to your action. The first should look like this:
Is there a way to add multiple charges for multiple effects? Or are we only limited to the one main charge? Say, for example, i have different skill or spell charges with different amounts that replenish at different times. How would i add those into a homebrew item?
So currently I am trying to build a pistol variant that adds 1d4 Radiant damage to the 1d10 radiant damage (Used damage type over ride). I can get it to show up on the character sheet. However can not get it to show up in the actions section on dnd beyond. Is there a way to do this?
So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I can't seem to add this particular feature to my subclass: "your hit point maximum increases by 1, and it increases by 1 again whenever you gain a level in this class."
Where exactly can I put that option in the Subclass creator?
Also, if this has been answered before, can anyone point me in the right direction? I can't seem to find it in the forums.

You would have to add a custom action to the character sheet because actions are not currently able to be added to magic items, and the character sheet lacks the capability to combine the additional damage with the base damage.

If you base it off of a different weapon (like a shortsword) it would use that weapon’s d6 instead.

I have had to manually add the character level damage in the character sheet not getting the scaling damage to show up.

That is not currently possible.

Add a Modifier to the subclass feature:

I'd say that option wasn't there last night, but it was most definitely my tired brain glancing right past it.
Thank you!
