"The relevant equation is: Knowledge = power = energy = matter = mass; a good bookshop is just a genteel Black Hole that knows how to read." - Terry Pratchett
The aim was to give them the spell, have it expend slots, and be able to cast it at whatever level slot they want. Also to not have the spells count against the spells known.
I got it to work by adding one option at the three levels I specified, and adding the warlock spell list as a modifier on each action, along with the spell levels I want them to choose from, but it looks a little clunky, as instead of having one drop down, it has two for each level you get a spell, with one drop down just being to pick the one option to get a spell.

I just did this, and for some reason, all of the spells are available at level 1. I double checked to make sure I set character levels, and I did, so I'm not sure what's happening there.
I'm not sure if you can get this put into D&DB but I used this one in my last campaign and you are welcome to use it if you would like to:
Class Name: Sorcerer, Warlock Patron Origin One of your ancestors sold his soul to a patron and became a warlock, unfortunately in the small print was a clause where by the family blood line would forever hold some taint from this.
Tainted Blood: At level 1: Choose a warlock patron. When you gain new spells you can choose a spell from your patrons expanded spell list and they count as a sorcerer spell for you. You gain the level one power of your other-worldly patron. You gain one Warlock Invocation as long as you meet all pre-requisites for that invocation (IE: you cannot take book of shadows as you do not have pact of tome), your level in this class is used for determining if you meet the level requirements an invocation. Once the invocation has been chosen it cannot be changed.
Indentured Servitude: At level 6: You gain the level six power of your other-worldly patron and gain one more Invocation, Once the invocation has been chosen it cannot be changed.
Life-long Servant: At level 14: You gain the level ten power of your other-worldly patron and gain one more Invocation, Once the invocation has been chosen it cannot be changed. You can, but do not have to, take a Pact of Chain, Blade or Tome. If you do you gain the benefits of that Pact but you sell your soul to your Patron and cannot be raised form the dead or resurrected by any means without your Patrons permission.
In All But Name: At level 18: You gain the level fourteen power of your other-worldly patron and gain one more Invocation, Once the invocation has been chosen it cannot be changed.

I'm trying to something similar, basically I am trying to add a spell and a cantrip granted by a homebrew system my DM is using. I tried creating the spells and then adding them to a feat to grant. All other added effects of the feat work (extra skills) however the spells are not showing up on my spell list. When I try creating spells, I don't see any options for "Consumes Spell Slot: Yes -> Counts as Known Spell: No"
Maybe I'm being dense, but could you show me where I add these spells? because in the editor it only allows me to add them as known spells and I'm upto my limit of 2 :(

I figured it out. When adding the spells, because I was using previously created spells, I was adding extra stuff like charges and casting details. Once I removed this details the spells showed up.

So I'm currently trying to make an eldritch themed sorcerer, so I'm trying to give them access to warlock spells.
What I want to do is give them:
A level 1 spell at level 1 in a class feature
A level 3 spell at level 5 in the same class feature
A level 5 spell at level 10 in the same class feature
Tried a few things and I'm just hitting a wall. How would I go about this?
Would you like them to expend spell slots, if so, of what level?
What have you tried so far?

Try Add a Spell -> Spell Levels: 1 -> Spell Class: Warlock -> Consumes Spell Slot: Yes -> Counts as Known Spell: No > Available at Character Level: 1.
Repeat this for every spell you add.

While they will appear in the character builder, they will have no effect on the character sheet until 5th and 10th level.
