In making a homebrew race on D&D Beyond, is there a way to include a change in size and base speed as part of a character race option? Alternatively, can a feat do this?
MODIFIERS->SET->SPEED(WALKING, SWIMMING, ETC.)->FIXED VALUE(input the speed number)
Size? This is confusing because I don't know how you aim to change it. Are you just trying to change the size of a normal race like a variant elf race "Giant Elf"? Or is it a feat that enlarges you. If it's a temporary spell/feature dndbeyond doesn't support temporary effects.

Yes, it can be done with race. Is it a Subrace or a Race Variant? The how depends on they which.
FYI- Size is really just plain txt other than the modifier for carrying capacity.
We've been using a variant system for multiracial characters. Essentially, you build a race from a selection of traits. Like if you're a dragonborn / lizardfolk cross you would choose some of the lizardfolk traits and some of the dragonborn traits. All of the race traits become feats. For size, you choose your size, and feats associated with races of a given size list that size as a prerequisite. That's what I'm trying to model. Alternatively, if there's a way to have a feat change your size, that would work too, provided you can make some feats exclusive to each other (I haven't looked into doing that yet).

I would just make a whole other race in the homebrew builder called Lizardfolk/Dragonborn
Since you're specifically doing hybrid races the easiest compromise may be to replicate the Powerful Build feature of Goliaths and similar; though keep in mind that this gives you some of the advantages of being Large (can carry, lift and drag double) with none of the drawbacks (four times more food & drink required, can't fit through Small sized gaps, take up more space on the battlefield etc.).
This is done using the Carrying Capacity Modifier, just set the sub-type to Large to gain the Large carrying capacity.

I guess I'm not being clear. That was just an example. I'm not trying to create just a single character here. It's also not just two-part options, as the character can have several different races in their ancestry. If I made individual races for each option I would have to make roughly 324 separate entries for the PHB races alone.

Well, based on what Haravikk said I'm closer to seeing how to do it. It sounds like I'm going to need to set it to Small as a default and make a Feat that makes you Medium. I think I know how to make that be a one-choice-only option. I'm not sure if it will allow that choice to remain unmade to keep the default though.

Sorry, I think it's impossible
