I'm working on updating a homebrew fighter subclass of mine and finding myself struggling to implement the following two features:
A kick attack that allows the user to use choice of Strength or Dexterity for attack and damage (similar to a monk's Martial Arts)
Currently having to create two separate attacks, one using Dexterity and the other using Strength, but would like it to be one and use the choice of either.
Ability use Acrobatics in place of Athletics for grappling.
Can't seem to find a mechanic in D&D Beyond Homebrew system for this.
Can some people inform me on how I can implement these features to be mechanics?
A kick typically is just an unarmed strike. If it does the same damage, then you could just add a Dex version of that. Otherwise you would need to make one of each.
There is no button to roll for a grapple attempt other than to manually go to the skill section and roll Athletics. Changing it to Acrobatics would just be plain text and the player will have to roll the correct ability check.
