So I’m making an item that has a pool of healing you can distribute like lay on hands. Does anyone know how to set that up? I’d like it to look exactly like the lay on hands feature in the paladin subclass but anything similar or that has the same functionality I’d go for. Maybe charges of a dice type that when totaled equals the max for the pool?
You cannot attach actions to magic items at this time. (Soon hopefully, but not yet) so it can’t be on an item and look exactly the same. Like, it can’t have the dice ready to roll or anything, all if could do is count charges for you.
You could do it with a feat however, they have actions. (That’s all Lay on Hands is is an Action with Limited uses.)
