Randall:
Reacting after the assault by the water elementals, Randall focuses his efforts on the more damaged one, calling down holy flame on it and summoning a mace made of force to bludgeon it!
Action: Sacred Flame, Dexterity Save DC 16 to Avoid: 7
"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
The 2nd Water Elemental twists in a way that is inhuman and avoids the sacred flame but this puts it in the way of the spiritual weapon attack. Tempe's 1st attack misses but the 2nd disperses the creature like a popped water balloon. Tempe moves to make his bonus action attacks against the remaining water elemental, of which only the 2nd lands solidly.
(Petcan is up. Zenodor is next.)

Zenodur shrugs at the lack of response from the water elemental. His familiar uses the help action as usual, and he attacks it with Eldritch Blast.
Blast 1 Attack: 26 Damage: 23
Blast 2 Attack: 8 Damage: 12
Assuming the Elemental is still alive, he tries one more time to communicate telepathically "Cease your attack, and you may live!" (Z is trying to get one of their enemies to surrender and talk, so that they may find out why they and the villagers are being chased, and who is setting all these monsters on them. Given the rules of this communication, the Elemental definitely understands him and could respond).
While inside the water elemental you cannot breath unless you can breath water.
(Bow is up.)

Bow seeing the water elemental coming into his space started holding his breath and just shoots his handbow up into, hopefully, his "head" to destroy the water elemental from the inside.
Attack 1: 8 Damage: 19
Attack 2: 6 Damage: 23
BA Attack: 13 Damage: 18

Being inside a shifting blob of water is disorienting to say the least for Bow, when aiming each of your shots your hand ends up outside of the WE for just a second. You take 11 bludgeoning damage from being tumbled around inside the WE. The WE moves into Zenodor's space and then continues on to slam into Randall twice.
1st Slam Attack: 10 Damage: 17 bludgeoning damage.
2nd Slam Attack: 21 Damage: 14 bludgeoning damage.
Both of those slam attacks were against Randall.
Zenodor must make a DC 15 STR save or suffer 13 bludgeoning damage and be grappled (DC 14 to escape) and restrained.
(Randall is up. Tempe is next.)

Seeing his companions pulled into the elemental’s core and in danger of drowning, Randall prepares to cast a spell, just after he shudders from a firm slam made of solid water. Finishing his casting of Water Walk, Randall smiles as the power of the spell quickly propels everyone inside the elemental to its surface.
He then commands the mace made of force to one again bludgeon the attacking elemental in the hopes of dispersing it soon.

Gerrard Feldren - Human Noble in Ghosts of Saltmarsh
Kerric Brightblade - Elven Warrior in "Apocalypse"
This works but do they rise to the top of it's head/shoulders or just in any random direction, whichever happens to be closest to the surface of the water elemental?
I'm going with rising upward due to buoyancy.
Does this work for everyone?

Bow is grappled (DC 14).
While grappled Bow is also restrained.
