"My name is Jonas. I'm afraid I don't have many answers for you, I only man the gate and am not privy to what Kadroth has planned." he says looking back between both Maudath and the Professor.
"Hmmph.", the Professor turns on his heel and walks out, still muttering deep in thought. He'll let Maudath or someone take the lead as overthinks their quandry.

The stairs lead you to the upper walkway between the towers. Going left will take you to the barred door leading to the tower you were given to rest in. There is another door going into the front tower to the right.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Eve has been distracted, and following along with the others. In the snow, she has been dragging her feet to make tracks and winding this way and that, or opening her mouth to catch snowflakes as they fall…
When the red tiefling opens the door she is interested again. She stands like a 6-year-old girl behind Maudath, peeking out at another 6-year-old girl she doesn’t know, but also thinking they’re the same and really should play nice together… “Hello?!…”, says Eve to the other tiefling. She looks her over with a grin, mentally comparing shades of red and horn-shape. Her tail flicks back and forth, as if to say, ‘it’s okay to play with me’.
”Wanna play in the snow?…”, she asks.

Eve uses thaumaturgy to whisper a tiny voice into the red tiefling’s ear. She smiles wide, with big, staring eyes and says, “If you’re scared, or in danger, I can help you…”.

She has very dark red skin and her horns , while very short, spiral straight up. She looks at you.......Give me an insight check Eve.
She gives a slight smile to you and you can see her very sharp teeth, but it doesn't seem overly friendly before she actually laughs a bit out loud. "Silly child, why would I need help here among the chosen. Perhaps you are the one that needs saving." She gives you a look, almost of pity.
Inside is another small room. A few torches are lit and another cauldron glows from the embers within. You can see the mechanism by which the main gate is operated and sitting in one of the two chairs is a younger male, early 20's, black hair, fairly plain. He looks up in a bit of a start as this large goliath all but bursts thru the door.
Maudath takes in the small room and once satisfied that the young man is the only one in there, he takes several steps and sits down in the second chair.
"You Cora's boy?" Maudath asks. "Huarwar? She's worried about you so we told her we'd check in on you."
"Well that wasn't ominous nor anything" Ryhunis thinks to the child's answer to Eve "And that was quite subtle and kind mr goliath, good one" she says to Maudath

Maudath heads to the stairs that lead up on to the wall and starts plowing through the snow as he heads up them.
"Jonas seemed nice enough," Maudath says. "Not the kind of person I'd expect to be a devil worshiping cultist."

"If you would be so good as to knock for us, m'boy?", the Professor asks Maudath, straightening his armor.

Maudath bangs on the door as notice of their arrival and then pushes it open.
"Hello in the gate house," he calls inside.
After a few moments a red skinned tiefling answers the door. She looks you all over before silently opening the door all the way for you.

Maudath looks down, under his arm, at Eve as she peers around at the tiefling guard.
He chuckles a little and returns his gaze to the guard.
”Before you start making snow angels, point us in the direction of Huarwar. We’ve a message from his mum.”
Eve uses thaumaturgy to whisper a tiny voice into the red tiefling’s ear. She smiles wide, with big, staring eyes and says, “If you’re scared, or in danger, I can help you…”.

She gives you a very short snort of a laugh and points towards the door on the opposite side of the room. "Be my guest, hes in there."

Eve nods and smiles, “If you’re safe and well, that’s all I need to know”. She does a slight bow and is ready to head off towards the lost boy.
