As Ssej looks into a shop he sees that most of the store's items have been destroyed or fouled in some way. All he needs is a quick glance to tell him they are not going to find anything of value or use there.
Attack
Out of the shadows further ahead of the group an arrow slices through the air, catching everyone by surprise. The arrow flashes up towards Callandra. To hit is a 32. Damage: 16 magical piercing, 14 poison (Con 14 save to take no poison damage), 67 sneak attack. Make a second con save to see if we need to double the above damage due to... When you attack and hit a creature that is surprised, it must make a CON saving throw (DC 19). On failure, double the damage of your attack against the creature.
Initiative
The area you spotted the arrow come from is a section of deep shadow along the trade way. Between two of the shops on the town-side of the road. The area is 55 feet from Ssej, who is the closest to it, with Umeven next closest, then yashin. No one has line of sight on the archer, though, if Callandra survives the strike, she would have spotted movement for a moment, then nothing.
(Critical hit on 10d6 sneak attack... that's how to do that much sneak attack damage. Even if you go down, don't count yourself out, as this is a gods-champion game, so your goddess has some skin in the game to keep you in this. Not that there is not some risk involved still, but max damage is not going to be instant-death.)
Ssej hisses in frustration when he did not notice the sneaking creature and then points his hand in the direction where the arrow came from and the ring on his finger glows and then a section of the darkness where the arrow came from suddenly lights up in a burst of green light. Then he will start moving toward the alleyway, trying to keep the fronts of the building in the way of an open shot as best he can.
Using Ring of Spell Storing casting Faerie Fire 1st Level - DC of 17 (I think Aio (using his stats) is the one who can learn the spell on a rest and cast it into the ring).

Yashin looks up in surprise as the arrow flies toward Kallandra, holding his breath to see if she is able to stay in the sky before grabbing his warhammer.
From a different shadow, and ignoring the cover provided by the zombies, an arrow slices through the air and strikes at Grishkar... To hit is a 32. Damage is 9 magical piercing, 6 poison (DC 14 con save to have no poison damage,) and 35 sneak attack.
This shadow was between two shops off to the side of where Grishkar is at the end of your group on the trade way. It is furthest from Ssej and those in front.
Ssej
Moving forward, Ssej uses his ring to illuminate the shadows the first arrow came from. The light covers the area and leaves the walls glowing, but noone is there.
Kallandra
Wobbling on your broom, you are still alive. From your current position you do not have line-of-sight down into the place the second arrow came from. You do see, thanks to Ssej's magic, the area the first arrow came from is empty. It is your turn to act.

Kallandra cries out in pain as the arrow slices deeply into the chest. She immediately pulls the broom up, zooming higher into the air, away from the ground, spiraling up another 50 feet. It's not enough but she needs healing. Even as one hand reaches into her bag of holding to call forth a Potion of Healing (Greater), she taps her magical energy in multiple ways--in one way to speed her casting and in another to cast a powerful spell of healing. As she comes out of the spiral, she keeps an eye on the ground for any further attacks and the arrow, expelled from her chest, falls to the ground.
Potion of Greater Healing: 13 Cure Wounds, 4th Level: 21, cast as bonus action

Grishkar cries out in agony as the arrow slams hard into his side. Useless piles of flesh!, he screams in his mind. Holding a hand toward the dark alley, Grishkar's fingers twist into a short series of positions before he blows a lung full of air in the direction. Arcane winds carry a dread spell as the necromancer rolls back and falls over the short wall of his wagon. As green smoke coalesces and fills the alley, Grishkar hunkers down and orders his zombies to surround him on all sides to form a protective barrier to assess the field.
