(@Orileo: I was wondering that if I would have to change my character if I leveled up after the match, since I wanted to team with Squeegee. Also, I can’t play a “Human” Bladesinger? Is the Coliseum located in the Forgotten Realms? LordShadowthorn gave me the okay, but if I have to change I’m okay with doing so).
( If your level is a problem, I can level up one to even it out)

I'm actually dying rn. Used all 7 Magic Missile Wand charges on npc and it SO HAPPENS that they have a brooch of shielding. I'm triggered, but it was funny, so I'll give it that.

(The only way to level up is to play matches. Everyone starts at level 3. If you win, you get a level's worth of XP. If you lose, you get less, but will still level up from 2 losses.)

(There was also the fact that you could see it on their sheets. Everyone's is visible within the Contestant spoiler under the map for more or less policing purposes. So, yeahh.... >.>;a)
(if it makes you feel any better, a similar thing happened another new player to coliseum in another recent match involving Shield.)

(Teams are determined when a match starts, not beforehand. Match gets posted, everyone interested posts their initiative/start location/prep, then when it's time to start the DM determines who's on what teams based on who joins. matches are almost exclusively limited to all characters of a specific level. There's been only a very few matches that had characters from different levels as I recall)

( Indeed those were special occasions in which two or three higher level PCs would be pitted against against a larger group nearly 1/2 their level. I believe the lowbies, if they lost, leveled up regardless. But if they won, they would go up two stages... it's been awhile, but BDaddly could give clarification there.)

You've seen this contestants before. You've spent hours in front of the scrying mirrors preparing for battle. You know his tricks, you know what he brings to the table. You are prepared for every possiblity, every eventuality... Or are you?
(I’m going to be honest—forgot you were a human. You do have to be an elf.)
(I’d prefer you change now since it does make a rather large difference.)

(Brooch of shielding is a viable magic item simply for that reason).

(If razor leveled but the team was chosen beforehand randomly, would we still fight together?)
(There is a reason the character sheet is linked. I’ve seen enough of the damage WoMM can cause to be wary of it, heh.)
