Egozi enters the tavern. Not that he has much to do there, but even he knows it's only courteous to visit a town's tavern the moment you enter it for the first time. The dark-skinned human has not even a single hair on his head, including eyebrows, which makes his expressions difficult to tell. He has been on the boat for too long and now that he finally reached Sel'eman, the place is a bit too noisy for him. Oh well, he came here for a reason. No one believed in his elemental powers, he needs to prove them all wrong. This means waiting for a match in the famous arena. Well, he has patience, but he's not sure what to do until then. He's in the tavern, now what? For the time being, he just awkwardly stands near one of the walls.
The next match will feature any interested level-9 competitors. The match will begin in 48 hours. Or sooner, if all level 9 contestants gather before then.
(@Egzoi: Apologies for the late acknowledgement, but everything looks good on the sheet. And thank you for patience in advance as other matches get sorted out. Unless one of the veterans here are willing to run the level 3 match early.)

(No problem, no one expects you to run a match for every level at the same time. As long as I know my turn will come, I can wait.)
The next match will feature any interested level-7 competitors. The match will begin in April 16th at 1pm-ish PST. Or sooner, if all level contestants gather before then.
I'm an idiot... But, I fixed the minor timing error so that people don't have to go back into the past or wonder if the next match won't be until next year. XD

Apologies, but Kirsolite is retiring, as in returning back to his home arena to train and head to other Colosseums to gain fame and fortune elsewhere. I apologize, but I might return. Goodbye for now, Colosseum of Conquest. May Your Battles Be Remarkable!

The next match will feature any interested level-5 competitors. The match will begin in the next 48 hours. Or sooner, if all level contestants gather before then.
Darius gave the half-elf a dirty look, then reconsidered. "I might be a pirate," he said with a smirk, "but if I can't even keep my word, I'd actually be lower than a land-lubber, eh?"
"Let's go get you that ale," he added, seeming to chuckle at his own joke.
Fenkas laughs aloud at Darius's joke and continues to the tavern with the pirate.
"It was nice being on the same team this time." Fenkas says as they walk, "The last time we've been in the arena at the same time was in our very first fight." Tilting his head back in thought, he continues, "You were on a team with the demon girl and the drow and I had the birdman and dragonborn on my team." Looking over at the pirate again, the bladesinger asks, "What did you take from your chest? Or did you pick something else?"

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
Darius help up the breastplate, it's simple designs almost disappearing into it's pitch-black coloring. "It's made of adamantine," he said with a bit of pride. "It might slow me down a bit, but it's got a magical strength to it, and should blunt any harder blows." Mulling over the trade-off, he muttered, "Might not always be the best choice, but at least it gives options."
Returning to full volume, he turned to Fenkas. "What did you choose? Something to enhance your spellcasting, no doubt?"
"Well I've been borrowing these from fallen opponents since my very first fight," Fenkas replies pulling out the wand, "I figured it was time to get one of my own." Sharing his thoughts Fenkas adds, "I've been thinking about spellcasting versus physical fighting in the arena. I've done both, but clearly, you prefer the up close and personal aspect of combat. Do you think one has a significant benefit over the other?"

“The mark of a successful DM is when you have caused more player deaths with doors than dragons, demons, or devils.”
Darius blinked. Was the mage actually trying to get him to think about combat? He felt a bit queasy at the very idea.
Instead, he shrugged. "What matters most is the man doing the fighting," he began, his chest puffing out a bit. "And knowing what you can and can't bring to the table."
He was silent for a pause before continuing. "I mean, yeah, magic can cause a lot of trouble, and it'd be silly to never use a magic weapon, or magic items. But--" he stopped, looked the mage up and down, then, "--well, actually showing your strength, and speed, and toughness is just that much more impressive."
His voice lowered a bit as he seemed to be looking into the past. "You don't get much credit for knowing fancy words and using them over fists on a pirate ship." He chuckled at the thought, imagining a scrap between mates on his old rig, and what would have happened if one of them had pulled out a lute.
The next match will feature any interested level-4 competitors. The match will begin in the next 48 hours. Or sooner, if all level contestants gather before then.
Once at the tavern, Darius let Fenkas go inside first while he loitered out front for a bit. He doffed his studded leather, and donned his new adamantine armor, wondering if he should even keep the leather.
To decide, he unsheathed Wisdom and Mercy, and quickly practiced a few techniques a good distance from the door. He grimaced. The armor was slowing him down a bit, true, but even so, he noticed he'd gotten faster. The training was paying off--entering these matches had been a good move. But the armor was a crapshoot, most likely depending entirely on his opponents. "Best to keep both options open," the pirate mumbled.
Half-smiling to himself, he sheathed his rapiers and entered the tavern to make good on his word... and to see if the owner would store property for customers for a reasonable fee.
The next match will feature any interested level-3 competitors. The match will begin in the next 48 hours. Or sooner, if all level contestants gather before then.
(Is he going to be as sulky as Immeral was after his first match? That would be hilarious.)

Fenkas steps out of the Coliseum and stretches his arms. Turning back to Darius he says snarkily, "You're not backing out on your offer are you?"
