Jean, surprised by Stefan, starts getting really into the little impromptu jam session. As their voices intertwine, Jean begins furiously riffing to the improvised medley, bringing the song to a resounding climax that evokes a swell of something powerful in Stefan.
(Stefan now has Bardic inspiration. in the next ten minutes, you can add 1d6 to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw. This can be done after seeing the roll)
"That was pretty good. Have you trained in music or something?"
Gwen looks on in awe of all that is going on between the three of you. She is wondering if there is something in the air that is making you feel this way? I must be just below the fumes, good thing, someone needs to keep their head on straight! Though, she wouldn’t admit it, she does feel a little better.
”Todd! That machine of yours tell you anything about our door? Or should we just start trying passwords?”
“Well the twos words I wanted to try were duds, anyone else want to give it a try?” Gwen starts looking defeated, though still wonders where these songs that the boys were singing were coming from.

Todd squints his eyes not ready to give up. He steels his resolve and stares directly at the statue. I won't be out done by this puzzle he thinks to himself. He tries two words, not ready to give up his bible hunch. First he tries Serpent. If that does not work he tries Tempted as suggested earlier. He will take his chances with the consequences.
If none of these work he will sit quietly in a corner and think very hard about something, anything he might have missed.'
"I tried Genesis with my second guess. It doesn't look like it is counting down the number of guesses? I could be wrong, but hopefully we can keep guessing till we get it right."
Stumped, Jean decides to leave the puzzle to his companions for the time being, and turns his attention instead to the source of the water, looking up and using his darkvision to peer into the darkness.
Gwen goes back down to the others finger to her lips to show the others to be quiet! Then whispers to Jean, “Well serpent worked, what shall we do next? Try to sneak by them?”

Gwen smiles at Stefan and follows his lead by also taking the ready action with her cantrip firebolt.. She’ll cast it if any of the serpents attack. Then she tries to sneak past them

“Not really but the Tarzan movie really made an impact for me.”
(So did you want to try Genesis as an answer, and only Beck is down there with everyone.)
(Sorry, I meant Beck and I think I like Genesis best if everyone else is good with it)

The statues eyes light up again and a low grumbling goes, "incorrect"

The demons eyes glow red and the doors slowly open, serpent was indeed correct.
once the doors open you see four large, sleeping serpents lining another stairway. What is at the top though is a bit to far away to make out.
