“Well, perhaps he can come with us back to Dolsela, if he wishes. The forest is not very safe for a lone Traveller anyway and we can keep an eye on him.”
Sorry, I'm beginning to enter a vacation period and while I will try to check-in at least daily, I cannot promise that I will always be able to do so. From September 1, I should be back to normal.
Turning to Rizo, Lilgrea says “Sure, let him come with us if he wants, these woods are terrifying, I’m sure he’d get eaten by something if he was on his own.”
To Lan: “What would your Mother say if she knew you were stealing from people? Do you want us to help you get back home?”
"You're welcome. Please, just keep close to us. " Rizo checks Lan for injuries and would cast Cure Wounds if he's missing at least half of his HP, restoring 8 HP.

((Happy to do so. This will be my first time. So, just to confirm, I would roll a location, threat, and timing only, as complications and rewards apply only to the entire adventure?))
<<OOC: it was my understanding that you only roll for a threat now (location stays the same) after threat 3 we have a 2 hour break a then 1d4 more threats>>
OOC: I agree that the challenge's haven't really been very challenging so far. There is an 'Adventure Complications' chart at the end of the documentation, though reading through them, I'm not convinced they'll make a huge difference.
((The way I read it, the adventure complications only apply once in an expedition -- options refer to defeating the first challenge and there is probably not an unlimited supply of dwarven apprentices. In our case we had complication number two in our first challenge. We had discussed just adding additional opponents to boost the difficulty.))

For me, you can go ahead and roll for the threat and guide us through it. In the first post, I assumed we could just go in alphabetic order of the character names for simplicity's sake.
I think, we can freely interpret the roll, i.e. make the encounter more difficult be it by straight add foes or make some more appear subsequently joining in, or give them any additional advantage (bandits could sit in a fortified position for instance)
Yes, as others mentioned, you only roll the threat at this point. Afterwards, you can roll a d4 to see how many additional threats come after the short break.

I didn't know! For real! I'll help any way I can! Thank you, thank you all!
Lan replies.
Once Minty rolls for the crossbow the threat ends and I'll roll a d6 for the time between threats.

Minty's crossbow roll: 19
Lan doesn't appear to be wounded, just very scared.
Minty, the Heavy Crossbow has some scratches but seems otherwise undamaged. You can add it to your inventory.

What do you want to do in that short time?

Lilgrea would go back to the log she was sitting on and have a snack, after previously being so rudely disturbed by the bandits.

I think you're right, I should really read more carefully!

After five minutes there is a rustling in the bushes to the East. Everyone roll for initiative and post your passive perceptions as well.
