Over the next hour Dyumi learns a lot about Dwarven Poker. He's getting a feel for which hands beat what. The names of the cards he's still having trouble with but he remembers that a 12 card is "Hammer" and the 11 is "Axe" but the rest escape him. Daav, Desey and Olaf have known each other for years now. He also learns that Desey has a hollow leg! or something! Such a tiny person and she can just drink and drink without becoming all that impaired. He learns that Daav has a small farm.
Winning and losing hands seem pretty equally distributed. Daav is probably the best player with Olaf a close second.
And there is so much drinking. Everyone takes a drink when you ante, bet or raise. If you fold, you take a drink, with each new hand. You start to think that if you called "drink!" for no reason, everyone would and figure it was a rule somewhere. Finally Jak says in a very slurred voice "This is the best bad idea I've had all week" and proceeded to slide off the chair onto the floor, which, according to the rules means everything he has goes into the pot and this is the final hand. Daav and Desey have already folded, so it's between Dyumi and Olaf for a very large pot. All Dyumi has is the "Child", a pair, so he just bets another gold, but Olaf takes to pot with the "Brothers". All in all, he only loses 3gp during the hour, meets new people and learns a new game.

Ula thanks Danica for the information, discreetly handing her 1 gold instead of just the promised 5 silver. At this time of day it seems unlikely that the outfitters would still be open, and Ula doesn't feel like they should just wander around town by themself without another party member. But they're very intrigued by the tip about Reita / The Apothecary, so they'll file that information away for later. Maybe they can convince someone to go with them in the morning.
For now they'll order some pork and potatoes for dinner, with just a small glass of the blackberry wine, and try to inconspicuously observe the Half-Orc. Ula will stay down here for at least half an hour while they eat, watching to see if he does anything else strange or if he approaches any of the other party members.
[I'm not sure what exactly to roll for this, so here's a few and you can pick which most apply]:
Stealth (to try to be discreet about watching the Half-Orc): 12
Perception (to observe what he does): 10
Insight (to try and figure out why he's acting strangely): 8

"Any service I can provide" she says, smiling and batting her eyelashes at Ula "you just let me know"

[This sounds like a plan to me]
Danica takes Ula's order and serves when it's up. While eating they quickly realizes the Half-Orc youth knows they're watching him and tries to stay out of their sightline. The position Theran hired him for seems to be menial labor, sweeping, lifting and carrying which gives him a good overall view of what's going on but keeps him seperate from it. Occasionally he ducks through the door that leads to the private gaming rooms (like the one the group still has use of for the night)
Asledin gets up, grabs his pack, and heads towards the room. As he stands, he stretches and sighs, clearly glad to move for a bit. He threads through any people who happen to stand between his table and the stairs and heads up. Apon entering the room, Asledin will search out an empty corner and place his pack in it. "There's a fair size crowd downstairs." He says, "I haven't seen anything suspicious yet, but with so many it could be easy to miss.". With a nod, Asledin leaves and closes the door behind him. From the top of the balcony, Asledin looks over the crowd.
Tired from his walk to town, Imra unintentionally falls asleep in the room. He wakes as Asledin walks in. He stands up and stretches, "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyah. Is there anything.... fun? I... I'm sorry I fell asleep, I was walking a long time before I found the town...... I might... I might go for a walk."
Imra gathers all of his belongings and his gold, but leaves his bedroll by the fireplace. Then he goes downstairs and heads out into the village. He walks around and keeps an eye out for anything suspicious.
On a whim, he goes around the building to look for the hotel room's window, with the prepared ladder. He looks around to see anything odd about the ground and buildings.

Asledin looks over the crowd but doesn't see anything that might be cosidered suspecious. In fact, even the brawls that do break out are mostly between drunk friends. Everyone seems pretty occupied with having a good time.

One thing that impresses Irma is how well protected the suite is. The wall under the window is plastered so it's smooth and flat with no handholds. No way through the window without magic.
After checking out the buildings, Imra walks down the street as evening falls. He looks around for anyone he recognizes, or anything out of place. He keeps a close eye out for a shops that sell hunting supplies: traps, snares, etc.
Satisfied that everything is normal, Asledin heads downstairs and follows Imra outside. Seeing Imra heading down the street, Asledin heads after him. "Imra!"' he calls out, "Hold up a second.".
Imra turns around and casts his eyes about, looking for whoever is calling him. Finding Asledin, Imra approaches, scratching the faint scruff on his face and asks, "What up?"
Most of the shops around you are closing or closed. There is a larger shop still open, Drusilla's Forest, but it looks like it's all book. There are two bookbinders, scribes, an herbalist and a small animal shop. You're not likely to get lost with "the Device" as a landmark, which can be seen from most of Haven. There are a few people about this late. The streets are dimly lit by the light from windows.
Asledin
You get the feeling the two of you are being watched

Asledin stops just short of Imra and begins to speak but stops after the first syllable is uttered. Asledin frowns, looks around at his surroundings, then continues, "I wondered if something was botherin ya about this deal? Thought I would get your take on it.", "Ya know,", Asledin continues, "I get the feelin we are being watched." Asledin begins a slow circle, examining his surroundings closely.
After watching the Half-Orc for about 30 minutes, Ula sighs in frustration. Well, I never was a great judge of character. They finish up their dinner and stack the empty dishes neatly on the table. After taking one last look around the room, they head back up the stairs.
Once in the suite, Ula asks Flint if anything happened in the time they were gone. "I can take the letter back if you want to head downstairs. I'll keep watch until Douglas wakes up, then I'll get some rest. One of the staff downstairs seems a little off, by the way, but I can't quite tell if he's actually suspicious or if I'm just paranoid. So keep an eye on the Half-Orc."
Imra glances around and looks at the people around him.
Perception: 11
"This whole experience is off to me..... I grew up in a village... people bartered and exchanged things..... but I'm not used to so many people, and shops. I don't know if something is off because my gut is telling me something, or because I'm in a weird place."
Imra turns and follows Asledin with his whole body, but standing in place, doing an odd spin.
"I'm sorry I'm not more help. I was hunting and just sort of..... found myself here. Still getting my..... water legs? I think that's what I heard a sailor in the inn say?"

About this time Soriah walks in the door. She's carrying a lantern and you realize how dark it's gotten as your eyes have adjusted to the dim firelight. Without saying a word she heads into the bedchamber. She rummages around, then says "Well, where are you keeping it? Are you sure it's safe?

The odd motion seems to startle a raven perched in the shadows and it flys off
Asledin watches the Raven fly off and raises his right hand to point at it lazily. He continues the upward motion of his hand until his finger is scratching the top of his head. "Yeah, this is a weird place.", Asledin glances at Irma and asks, "Speakin of huntin, it is gettin dark. We should stick together, were you goin somewhere?".
