Does standing (from prone) use an action or provoke an attack of opportunity? Are any hobgoblins within 5 ft of us to gain advantage? Does the prone condition affect spellcasting that doesn't require an attack roll?
And how far are the Hobgoblins from us (and we from each other), for purposes of calculationg spell area effects like Fireball or Wither and Bloom?)

Prim casts "Wither and Bloom" with Taxidea getting the heal and any hob in 20 ft diameter of edge of the circle with Tax taking a 3rd level wither
15 points damage. Taxidea gets two HD checks. If anybody dies, Prim gets ...is that 3 x the level the spell was cast at (3), or just 3x spell level (2)?
In the wardrobe, you find some old cloaks and other garments but no orb.
Meanwhile, in the hall, the hobgoblin casts two more Devastator Bolts at Prim and Tax, hitting Tax for 16 hp force damage and missing Prim before turning to run back down the hall.
