A fifth bugbear charges Prim, hitting her for 6 hp damage, while the last bugbear in the group attacks Oskar but misses. (BTW, it is still dusk, not quite dark enough for a fireball to act as a beacon. Also, the road is clear enough from the trees that a carefully placed fireball would not start a forest fire.)

Vrothen curses the bugbear on them, goes into a rage, pulls out their magic warhammer, and swings, but the bugbear is too dextrous and easily dodges the attack.
Orion swings with his short sword on the one that has Hunter's Mark, 17+6 =23 to hit - 6+2+3 = 11 damage. Swing again (and move the Hunters Mark to the next one if the first one is dead) 10+6=16 to hit: 3+3+3=9 damage, and move 30 feet back away - taking the opp attack if there is one.

Taxidea grunts from the impact of the Bugbear's weapon. "Oh, you want to play? Suck this!"

She points her umbrella at it and says "SHIELD!'
The umbrella immediately glows pink and a glowing lacy pink lattice opens as if she were opening her umbrella, then hangs in the air as a shield.
The Bugbear's weapon glances off with a spray of sparks leaving Prim unscathed, but delaying her attack until now.
"SLEEP!", she says, pointing her umbrella like an arquebus. The 3rd level spray of petals does 41 sleep points to as many Bugbears as she can fit in a 20 ft area within 90 feet of her, without affecting the party.
