Muck ducks as an enemy projectile screams over his head just missing the boat and he yells at four of the crew to help him load and aim the weapon as he waits to pull the trigger when the enemy boat is far enough away for them to hit it. "Steer us away from the ship a bit Mirelda so I can fire with this thing." Muck screams out.
"Let's help Muck load that weapon,"Warren says after a taking a moment to read the situation, "We could split up, but I think we will be faster if we all help load, aim, fire. Ye know? I don't think even you will be able to protect Mirelda if she get's hit with a cannon ball." He nods to Beshlog and runs over to help Muck. "Beshlog, you load, Muck will aim, and I'll fire. Any complaints?"
"Aye Aye Captain! No complaints here. I'll try to maneuver for the better aim. If you want me to slam our ship into that squid - give the order."Mirelda prepared to do her part in the shaping-up battle.
Your ship's crew scatters to their stations, your party manning the mangonel while the others head topside for the ballistae. While the ballistae shot faster, it had missed the enemy ship. You landed a shot upon the ship's hull, its wooden hull fracturing upon impact. The enemy ship keeps in range and fires another volley.
Enemy ship: 024/??? (This is referring to damage inflicted)
The lead ball overshoots, passing the ship and going into the void of wildspace. But a single bolt manages to impale itself into the ship, Mirelda feeling the impact as well. Like an arrow just stuck itself into her.
(OOC: honestly, feel free to just assume Beshlog is loading the weapon with his action every round unless there is a good reason for him to do something else).
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
(Lol I figured, and same goes for Warren. But to him, everything is kinda moving in slow motion, so he's chomping at the bit to keep hitting the other ship. Not to mention I'm not really sure what else to do unless we split up and man separate weapons. I suppose one of us could team up with Muck while the other picks one to man alone? Not sure which would be better. This way we are at least firing something each round.)
(Let's keep at this for a bit, and if we still don't seem to be doing much damage after a couple tries, then we can try to board the other ship... unless you all want to go ahead and get into melee?)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Muck aims the mangonel as best he can while the others load it and as the other ship gets close he fires again.

"You know, if you wanted to take the risk, one of you could climb up inside of this and I could fire you to the other ship." Muck laughing mentions, "Though that is probably a terrible idea."

"Orders, Captain?" Beshlog bellows, not sure if he should focus all his efforts on protecting Mirelda or if he should go man one of the guns.

"Alright, just know I'll only give that order as a last resort. I don't want to damage our ship if we don't have to."

"Let's move!" Warren shouts as he waits impatiently for Beshlog to load the weapon.
Beshlog does his duty and loads up the gun.

(Yeah, probably best for us to just keep loading and shooting... besides, Beshlog's ranged attacks are pretty sad anyway.)

(I feel like you guys want to do a melee with them. If you want to board, its just moving the ship about 5 feet of the enemy ship.)
(Let's keep at this for a bit, and if we still don't seem to be doing much damage after a couple tries, then we can try to board the other ship... unless you all want to go ahead and get into melee?)
(We're probably best off trying to hammer their ship for a few more rounds before attempting to board and beat our foes into submission...)

"Ya got that right." Warren growls as the shot flies wide, "Especially with my aim!"
(Playing that off like it's his fault since technically, he's the one aiming lol)
