"Congratulations, Elli. You wanna... Wanna cookie?"Obsben said through gritted teeth as she fought to focus past the various hurts. Almost reflexively, Obsben brandished a dagger to start menacing the lizardfolk, likely drawing out their amusement if not confusion. Yet even as her own actions eventually dawned on her, she merely snickered softly before beginning to whistling a tune that seemed to supernaturally echo across clearing. And so too did the snapping of her fingers as she bobbed side to side, her hurts magically fading and her confidence gradually restoring by the moment as the spell worked its way through her system.
Even with her seemingly occupied, a thought goes out to Sourpuss, spurring the feline to take high to the air and zip about the battlefield to continue assessing it for the moment.
Severely hurt, Obsben takes a moment to focus on her defenses and health. (Obsben recovers 12 HP.)
In response to Obby, Ellison looks at Rythnax for a moment, considers something, then looks back to the halfling and begins to open his mouth. He then changes his mind and doesn't say anything for now.
By then, Graxx's has delivered his warcry (Rage), and Sourpuss has zipped halfway past the battlefield, his presence now obvious to all. Unable to reach the dragon for now, Graxx takes out his frustration on one of the nearest lizardfolk warriors. It takes two slashes, but the end result is to be expected. This first foe is fatally wounded. (Armed Lizardfolk#3 takes 44 magical slashing damage and is DEFEATED.)
(OOC: I'll have to leave the posting of the next turns in this round for tomorrow. Thanks for your patience.)
Both Unarmed Lizardfolk reach for their bone necklaces and begin to utter incantations in Draconic. From beneath the waters around Neya and Utar, reeds and wet roots begin to grow at unnatural speeds, instinctively attempting to grasp the monk's and the cleric's legs.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Neya and Utar both manage to create enough disruption in the water to avoid being grabbed by the growing plants. The overgrown vegetation remains nonetheless, impeding movement even more so that just the swampy water.
The second spellcaster finishes her spell. Utar's breastplate begin to heat up, turning orange-hot in no time. The Tormite can do little to avoid the sudden rise in temperature around his chest.
-> Damage roll: 12 (11)
As the heat builds up, Utar begins to worry. (Utar takes 11 fire damage and has disadvantages on attack rolls and ability checks for now.)
Considering his options, Ellison mutters his own Draconic incantations and simply disappears from view. Before he can complete the verbal components of his spell, Obsbenshuts it down. Ellison looks desolated!
(OOC: Reminder that anyone can attempt an arcana check as a reaction to see if they know what specific spells are being cast.)

LAIR ACTION
The water begins bubbling up and rising. A high tide surges, reaching most humanoids' waists and then quickly recedes. Everyone on the ground has to fight to keep their footing as the tide returns to its default set up:
STR saving throw {DC 15} or be pulled 20ft and pushed into a prone position:
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Neya and Utar are caught in the tide, but the magically produced reeds still arrest some of the forced movement inflicted on the pair. Obsben is also caught, traveling the full 20ft southwestward. All three are now prone. Graxx keeps his footing, but he is no longer right next to Obsben.
Both armed lizardfolk who were engaged with Graxx travel in the water with Obsben. Two others maintain their positions. A fifth one is dragged in a northward direction. One of the unarmed ones is dragged to the southwest. (Notice that north in this map is loosely pointing to the bottom left corner of the image.)
Ellison is pushed northeast and is also prone.
The three fallen lizardfolk warrior are the quickest to stand back up. They rejoin the other two who never succumbed to the tide and continue their attacks. Two aim their melee attacks at Obsben, two at Graxx, and the fifth warrior launches a javelin at the barbarian as well.
Despite her best efforts to remain nimble in the shallow water, Obsben was not counting on being force prone. All four attacks aimed at the halfling find their mark. (Obsben takes 18 piercing and bludgeoning damage.)
Several strikes hit Graxx but, in his rage, the tribesman only feels a couple of them. Even so, he only barely feels them. (Graxx takes 5 piercing damage, already halved.)
Since positions have changed a lot, here is an updated MAP (blue circle means prone):
(Neya and Utar are up next. They are both prone. Utar has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks. Please keep difficult terrain in mind.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Neya lifts herself up and moves as far north as she could (to AZ-51, if possible). Seeing that Obby is having some trouble with the lizard folk, she fires two arrows at one of them (the one at AU-46)
Neya rights herself up and moves past the reeds. With bow still in hands, she changes target in order to provide support to Obsben. Two arrow fly and one of them let's loose some acid upon impact. The target lizard feels his chest burn, but his nearby companion moves out of the way just in time. (Armed Lizardfolk#4 takes 30 magical piercing and acid damage.)
Utar also changes his tactics to try to thin the lizardfolk horde, but his guided spell beam misses its target.
Moving through the air with impressive speed, Rythnax threatens: "Your days are numbered, talkative little one!" He swoops in and lands next to the witching. He attacks a still proneObsben:
With his bite attack, Rythnax misjudges Obsben's position underwater. He does not make the same mistakes with his follow-up raking claws. Obsben releases air bubbles after the first set of passing claws hit her back and loses consciousness with the second. (Obsben takes 23 slashing damage and is unconscious, incapacitated, and prone. Upon going unconscious, Obsben loses the benefits of the dodge action)
Rythnax then flies up once more {AQ-40,QR-41}, increasing his altitude to 35ft.
(Obsben and Graxx are up next. Obsben needs to roll a DEATH saving throw. With a CON modifier of +1, she is not considered suffocating yet, but would be if conditions remain the same in the next round. The most recent MAP can be found in post#749.)
(OOC: Forgot sourpuss. Unfortunately, he doesn't have hands or the action economy anyhows to try since I put him so far away. But does have a 11 Int, so.. hmm..)
Seeing his mistress in trouble, but knowing there was little to be done on its own, Sourpuss opted to swoop down and harass at least one of the lizardfolks with his yowls and fluttering about its face, hoping to at least distract it.
Movement(Sourpuss): To BB-41, 5ft up from the ground.
Action(Sourpuss): harass for next attack vs unarmed lizardfolk at BC-41.

Obsben does not react much following Rythnax's latest attack. The group knows that this is not a good sign. (Obsbenfails 1 DEATH saving throw.)
Sourpuss is the first one to act following this dreadful realization. The winged feline creature finds the closest enemy to release its frustration on.
Graxx screams the name of the newest CRAPer and tries to clear a path to her. He starts by cutting down one of the lizardfolk warriors next to him with a single, divine-powered slash. (Armed Lizardfolk#2 takes 36 magical slashing and radiant damage and is DEFEATED.)
The lizardfolk spellcaster being harassed by the familiar feels the need to deal with that issue sooner rather than later. Taking its attention away from the fight at large and focusing on Sourpuss, she attacks:
05. Unarmed Lizardfolk (x2; black) - both concentrating on spells, next attack on {BC-41} has advantage if performed before Sourpuss's next turn;
